I would guess either a Peugeot 208 or possibly a Mondeo?

I guess that you are a borderline literate Vauxhall Ventora driver.

My dad had one of those. He would send my sister and I walking up and down the pavement while he adjusted the mirrors.

Mine is my the username I picked for Compuserve/AOL back in about 1996.

I was trying to think of a name and they were talking about the Spike Lee film 'Girl Six" on the radio. At the time I was a mere boy (ahem) and owned an Austin Mini Se7en and an Orange P7 mountain bike so the numerical suffix seemed appropriate. Used it ever since.

Wouldn't it have been easier to get you to adjust them?

Well it's either because I fight crime while dressed as an alpaca or because I keep and breed alpacas.

I will let you decide which is true:

1) As a teenager I ate a live snail as a dare and from then on was known as Snails
2) As a teenager I accidentally wore a pair of trousers to school with a 'snail trail' on the front.
3) As a teenager friends took my surname and changed the 1st part of it, so it became Snailsbury and eventually I was known to many as Snails.
4) As a teenager I spent a short while living in France and friends believed the French ate nothing but snails and upon my return my name was Snails.

I didn't explain myself well.

We did. He sat in the driver's seat while we walked up and down the pavement. He looked into each of the mirrors checking whether he could see us. If not, he would instruct us to move each mirror by increments before sending us off up the pavement once more.

He was very particular about his mirrors, was my dad. He still is.

Ok, so I think we have gathered lots of natural visitors to the thread, now we need to start targetting people by linking the thread along with a comment similar to "you are obliged to post here" for people we are curious of their usernames
