I've been watching this thread for a while. In fact I thought I'd already explained mine.
Here goes...
Yellow? I'm a bit of a football fan, and live in Farnborough. Farnborough FC play in mostly yellow home kit. "C'mon you Yellows! Yellows! Yellows!"
Jack? I'm a bit of a football fan (did I mention that already?) and was born in Swansea. Who are we? "Jack Army!"
It's not a contradiction, because I am first and foremost a Swansea City fan, but living in exile means I can rarely get to see them play. Hence adopting my local non-league side to get my regular fix of live footie. This season started very badly, and isn't looking like getting better any time soon...
Oh, and I'm not old enough to remember them, but The Yellowjacks...
...I love the Folland Gnat, and the Yellowjacks sort of became the Red Arrows, but I liked the yellow livery better.

Howling when he was hungry at 3am and getting immediate doting attention from Mrs S, sneakily stting in the bath with apparent impunity when it was too cold to go outside, going missing for days at a time and coming home to the prodigal's welcome, sleeping for up to 20 hours a day without being disturbed and having the ability to lick his own genitals gave my cat a lifestyle to envy. So I borrowed his name in the hope that by doing so I may share some of his good fortune.
(I adopted this moniker in 2001. Sparky himself passed away in 2009 aged 17, but the legend lives on)
