I'm all of half an inch shorter than one of my best mates, so was bestowed this nickname. (Pints is short for Pintsize. Geddit?)

In truth, I'm not very tall anyway.

P.S. Hope EricMc pops in. Always wanted to know the origin of his username.
He answered that Question in How did you choose your user name Vol 1.... Maybe prior volumes but that's the one I originally posted in although I think I have since deleted my reply

I spell it backwards.
I really like that one I remember it from volume 1 but you made it a better reply in this one

An old colleague of mine likened me to the dog in the comic strip "the angriest dog in the world" as I was always angry.

Mine comes from The Simpsons episode when Barney Gumble, the town drunk, sees a video of himself and asks Homer if that's really the way he behaves when drunk.

Homer replies 'That's the stage we call 'Professor Barney' - talkative, coherent, even insightful.'

I did use to like a drink, and was often a bit of a tw@ when I did, hence the name, although I'm a much reformed character nowadays.

What does it mean: In the re-boot series of Battlestar Galactica, BS-62 is the registry number of the other ship.
Why: it's short, easy to remember and type, and obscure enough that it could be anything.

I was Irocfan having owned 4 or 5 of the things. I felt that to celebrate the purchase of one of my dream cars, Dodge Challenger, I'd change with an appropriate tongue in cheek name

My first nickname at school, as it just rhymes with my surname... You know what kids are like. (Or just ‘Milky’)
I gathered a few more in my adult life though.

NB: It has no connections at all, with me working in later life, for its manufacturer... that was just pure coincidence.
