Most try to let you down gently, rather than running around the room screaming about the office sex-pest.

Well that was a let down. You need some advice from Swiss Tony on how to seduce a woman..!

I'm sorry chaps, I've got to step in here.

I read this thread on Saturday morning, and within moments, I was gutted I'd missed the build up to Friday night.

I've come back FIVE TIMES since then, not a sausage from the OP.

Which PHers live nearby?
I'm here baby lol

You could have avoided that embarrassment and a twenty page thread if you'd just asked around in the bloody office.

Talk about a schoolboy error. laugh

Feels like Boxing Day.

Did you really say "I want to know you" without anyone laughing?

I could've. But she only joined this year. So odds of anyone knowing would've been slim.

I'm rather surprised this thread has received so much attention... It's been funny and also just a little disturbing. So much pressure lol.

What I actually said was "I'd like to get to know you" lol.... I employed the forum's no nonsense / get to the point approach.

I thought it was a great line. Nothing I could've said would've changed the outcome. So it's not as if that line blew a chance.

Aye because women in offices are well known for not talking about their husbands and children...

FFS it would take anyone about 5 minutes to find out. I'd also investigate what she's like at nights out so I'd know if the husband was an issue. It's not always. wink

Draw a discrete veil, locate next target, move on.

Will look forward to the next chapter, this one's done.

To give my armchair expert's opinion:

It didn't matter in this case anyway, but I'd suggest going in with your chat with slightly more subtlety in future.
-please tell me that you didn't say "know ....in the biblical sense"

And I'd probably suggest pursuing women within +/- 5 years of your age.
