I'm still not convinced any of this happened.

I hope it did, but I just don't "know"

Please don't make me read all 40+ pages (i've had a flick through), but why did she agree to go on a night out with you/him, but then say no to any further, um, exploits? What did she think she was meeting up with a man for? (sorry!).

In all honesty it was fine. No awkward atmosphere or anything.
How could that approach result in anything other than awkwardness? If you were too naive to feel it she certainly did.

This is the process.

Never fails.

A good test would be to post her FB so we can poke her and find out if she's up for it. If she is you obviously got played. But the flipside is you can have another crack.

Once the rest of us are finished.

1 - Well done OP on meeting the original goal of telling her how you feel.

2 - Not the end we wanted for you, but none the less, one of the best threads in ages!

3 - Still no pics....

I cut her off mid way and say "... I'd like to get to know you..". She looked puzzled and stated that we're were already doing that.

She clearly didn't understand. So I repeated myself lol. Emphasising the word "know".
Wrong....all wrong.

Go back and sing this to her, EXACTLY like this.

You should kill her husband.

He must die so this thread can live on.

So guys, let me tell you about my weekend.

There was this MILF at the bar on her own after what she said had been a rather disappointing night with a damp squib of a date...

Said some guy, somewhere in an office this morning. Probably.

In fact she appeared to be all shy at me approach her. Because of her age.

Anyway, I set out to approach this person. Yes it took a while. Glad I done it!
I'm a bit confused by what you wanted out of this.
Did you fancy the idea of shacking up with an older woman for the longer term, walks in the countryside, car shows on a Sunday morning, Downton Abbey on a Sunday evening, more cushions on your sofa than you can shake a stick at..etc ?
Or was it the idea of a quick office fling for a bit of excitement ?

If it's the latter then I really don't know why you think you've been cut short. She's married with kids *but* made the effort to pick you out in the pub and make the first move Friday evening. She was hardly going to say "I'm married with kids but hell yeah I'm bang up for an office fling", she's expecting you to put some ground work in.

Based on your description of how the night went OP, all of the post quoted is pretty much bang on.

the only winner on Friday night was her other half.

She's gone home with it biting the leg off her and ridden him into the mattress.

Surely you should have said "I'm sure I could get you back before he notices" type thing?

The OP has not really covered what happened on the night. She obviously sought him out, there was some small talk and then the big proposal.

What happened after that, how did it end?

This is not an unattractive proposition. Can we get a dog, too?

Maybe he's the husband ?
