MESSAGES OF THE DAY!

Everyone

I've received lots of messages both on here and via e-mail. You're all welcome - I'm glad it went well and if there's anyone who hasn't received their present yet, please get in touch and let me know.

oldbanger

Your SS doesn't want to reveal themselves but wants to pass on this message:

"Your SS is pleased to hear the chocolate went down well, it's always hard to know how hot to go with these things but I thought the balance on these ones was pretty good, you know you're eating chilli chocolate and don't have to worry about that pesky milk stuff. I have to say that stalking you made me incredibly humbled, the challenges you've faced in your life put my petty woes into perspective but also restored some of my faith in humanity, you seem like a very special kind of person and I hope you appreciate this when the challenges undoubtedly crop up. I tried to address as many of your 'likes' as I could but a helicopter trip was out of reach sadly, maybe next year...."

HO HO HO!

As for your thanks, I'll have to have a word with Garlick about this magical discount for Mustang/RS, it isn't something I've come across wink Thanks again though, I love it and please don't be afraid to come forward tongue out
Not a problem thumbup Sorry I didn't get back to you about the letter; I wrote it at work and didn't save it so couldn't remember what my ramblings said.

Just in case my SS is plotting my demise for being ungrateful, I only went back to work today and the post room can't remember which office they delivered my parcel to. Will hunt it down tomorrow.

still no closer....

all my post has been delivered to a colleague. he says no parcels came but there was a bulky brown envelope which felt like it had magazines in it. however he's forgotten what he did with it....

can my SS shed any light via the moose please as to what i'm looking for?

found it!

a compilation book with every magazine road test of the elise platform between 1996 and 2005!

very comprehensive and covers the main uk mags as well as a smattering of articles from the US and down under.

i have my elise in bits at the moment and have just ordered a few parts from the UK. its a balmy 23degC outside today so maybe a little lunchtime reading is just the motivation i need to get her back on the road and enjoy some spirited winter motoring!

thanks very much to my SS beer

anyone still outstanding??

Dear SS

I've been avoiding having to post this, but given the elapsed time, I'm now gonna have to come clean; I've lost the gifts paperbag

Ok, "lost" is probably a bit strong, I know they're deffo in the house somewhere, just dunno where, coz everything is everywhere by virtue of being in the middle of a redecoration!

So, that explains the lack of pics from me.

I'll find 'em eventually and when I do, I'll post pics smile

Going from the wiki list there are still three or four that haven't received their present. Although I know one of them definitely received their secret santa present, but just haven't posted anything about it.

Is anyone kind anough to run this again this year?

It's been the highlight of my Christmas for the last few years and normally starts about now.

I promise I won't send out any more plastic legs!

Gents; as per usual these days, I am massively under the cosh at work and also away for two weeks mid-November.

Happy to issue out the usual starter pack for the organiser and provide any advice/assistance in running the show.

I'll let you folks decide who you want to do it this year.

I'm just glad to see it has grown legs and carried on; maybe one day in the future I can actually run it again.

So glad to see this in my topics biggrin Been thinking about it the last few weeks (Damn you Co-Op and your preposterously early Christams advertising), but didn't want to post anything too early.

Moose did a good job last year, maybe he would be up for doing it again if it didn't scare him off?
