By doing that we would have to eat less and exercise more though, which is unappealing.. unlike pies.
Eat heavier but smaller pies smile

It might be a bit council for some of you, but I find H&M jeans to fit spot on every time. And styles are clearly labelled.

Couple of retroreflective bands on the shin would sort that!

Pies are indeed vastly superior to both of eating less and exercising more.

I am 6'6" and long of leg. A 38 waist fits me, but it is almost impossible to buy jeans in a leg longer than a 32 now for some reason. I used to be able to buy them, now I get them wherever I see them because there might not be a next time. Yes I'm aware of Jacamo and online stuff, but I want to try stuff on before I buy it to make sure it fits. Same with shoes, Brantano is my only option now, mention size 13 in any other shoe shop and you are some kind of giantist freak hehe

I feel your pain,

Went to buy some gstar jeans (maybe council, don't care) in a loose fitment, what a total lie. I actually couldn't bend my legs in them,

It is genuinely difficult to get a pair of jeans that fit normal powerfully built businessmen.

Glad it's not just me!!!

It is annoying buying jeans, the sizes can vary between brands and it is a pisstake. Sometimes when you just want to buy jeans without trying them on its impossible. Got a few waist 32 jeans and chinos which I have to wear a belt with...but got chinos and jeans in a waist 30 that fit fine, but I've bought waist 30 jeans/chinos without trying them on and they're too tight....

What pisses me of the most are these stupid skinny fit or slim sknny ghey crap. Such a mission to find straight or regular.

Genuinely don't see how a man can look in the mirror and thinks skinny fit jeans look good confused all they do is make your chicken legs stand out more laugh

Diesel Jeans - Speak to one of the assistants, find a style and that you like, then pick the wash (noting down the wash number). Go on Sports Direct find size, style and wash number and they're often half price.

FWIW Diesel Buster 32/32 for me.

I always go to M&S for jeans, styles clearly labelled and don't even need to try them as you know they will fit.

Levi's for anything nice/branded, M+S for anything work.

I find my arse doesnt fit in other brands very well. Not fat, just powerfully built legs and normal sized waist.

So I'm in the market for some new denim, very council - I know. Quite like the look of the Boss (brand, not gentleman I work for) stuff so I pop into a local shop yesterday where they have only a couple of styles, Orange in '58' style and Black in 'Maine2'. Try both on in a 34/32 and whilst both fit fine, the relaxed fit of the 58 is a little too relaxed and I don't like the colour of the Maine2.

Fast forward to today, I pop into John Lewis at lunch time, they don't have any Orange but carry 'Maine' and 'Maine2', both 'regular fit', in a variety of colours. Trying on the Maine, again in 34/32 they are far too small, very different to yesterdays pair. Annoying, but perhaps 'Maine' and 'Maine2' are significantly different - but no the 'Maine2' are exactly the same. Since they don't have either style I like in a 36, I leave, irritated.

I can understand variance between brands, annoying as it is. I can even tolerate variance between different cuts of the same brand, but seriously the same brand/style having such a difference is infuriating. Anyone else find sizing a complete pain in the arse, or did I really manage to gain a stone in 24 hours?! This is why I won't shop online for clothes.
Boss has different labels. From the top of my head you have Black which is the smarter stuff, Orange which is the casual/youthful stuff, and Green which is the sports and golf stuff. They will have different styles within each label. I'd suggest just asking for help, if you go into a Boss store they will get the right stuff for you so that you buy it as they work on commission.

Worth trying Marks if you struggle to get the right leg length. They're 29/31/33 inch.

I only get on with Levis. Tried M&S and they just didn't sit well.

GAP is my store of preference when it comes to jeans. Decent range of styles and the selection of sizes is broad (I'm typically 32/30 but depending on the style it may be 33 or even 34/30).

Next do 38 xl (35 inside leg), but only online.

But if you try 38 L in a shop, you can get an idea.

I find a lot of pairs of jeans are too tight around my arse and thighs, yet I don't have whoppers so I've never understood it.

Usually end up trying on 15 pairs, and get mad and buying none.

Went to Next last time, and tried on a few pairs and probably had an 80% success - i'll be buying Next jeans again.
