Try being a short legged fat bd. I have jeans ranging from 38-42 that fit. 29 legs that are too long, 30s that are just right.

I need bespoke jeans.

I find Diesel jeans are the best fit for me and they are what I wear, mostly - pairs for day to day and a couple of smarter pairs (council ahoy) for nights out where I'm not fussed for wearing trousers. I'm a 32/32 size wise usually, but I've slapped a bit of beef on recently due to my sheer laziness so the waist may have to go up to a 34 if I don't do anything about it, yum

Superdry ones are murder IMO - all their clothes are fairly small for their "size" and their jeans are no exception, couldn't get into a 32" waist pair to save my life, even before I piled a few pounds on.

I'll second those who have suggested Diesel jeans, they can be expensive if you can't find anywhere that has a sale on (£110 a pair in the Diesel shop last time I was in) but if you get the right sales assistant you can usually find the right fit. I only wear the Larkee Regular straight cut jeans, about the only ones that seem to fit my body shape with any semblance of comfort.

Is there a USC near you? They have a sale on about as often as DFS do - keep an eye on their website if there isn't a shop near by.

Bought a few pairs in the States, but it never seems to work out any cheap if I'm honest.

Another vote for pain in the arse jeans here. The only brand I have any confidence in is Diesel. Mainly because their regular fit fits snd they're the only people to make a 33 leg. I tend to buy a pair every January for about £60 and rotate. New/smart for office, worn in for smart casual, well worn for casual and going through the knees for DIY & spannering.

current problem is finding smart casual trousers that ate as comfy as jeans but aren't chinos. I don't golf and am under 40.,

Or a TK Maxx - I wouldn't pay more than 50gbp for Diesel jeans now as every time I go to a TK Maxx they usually have a few pairs in the "Shioner" cut for under that. Granted that cut isn't for everyone as it's borderline skinny jeans but they will have others. Also got a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans there for about 45gbp instead of the 200+ they usually go for. TK Maxx also stock everything in size order, which means you can look at stuff hanging on the rail and get a good idea if it will fit or not.

This is a subject I have a certain amount of knowledge of given I am obsessed with finding the "correct" fit of Levi's - I frequently go over to the US and can't resist buying them given how cheap they are; the only issue is my weight keeps going down so I started with 34w, then 33w, and on my last trip bought four pairs of 32's. I know find that the 31w fits me perfectly, so now I am thinking about teaming up with Arsenal Morris from the shoe thread to open a levi/addidas eBay shop smile

If anybody is in the market for 32/32 Levis I might be able to sort you out....smile
Thats my size... sometimes!
Can I interest you in some of my Levi collection..... biggrin £29.99 plus only £3.50 p&p for these beauties...

That's probably a good example of what the OP was saying about "boot cut" jeans, and make the point about what on earth happened to normal legs on jeans. I'm a skinny runt and they would flap around like sails on my legs!

I usually have 28w 32l. Pain trying to find them, clothes seem to be made for fatties now.

I think you're looking for the womens/childrens section with those measurements!

Ditto. I found Gap authentic skinny 29/32 to be the best for me...have been difficult to find in the past though.
Or you could go down the route of womens jeans, which I will buy (and have) in preference of having to wear something baggy or putting on weight.

For years I would always buy 501s. But after some looking into it. Found that 508 (no longer available so easily) or 511 or 513 are better for my silhouette.

The tricks IME are
a) to wear the shoes you will be wearing with them to the shop when buying. I have different jeans for different shoes, sneakers or boots.
b) Go on a weekday so you can get the decent store staff and ASK for opinion. (A wife/GF or female friend is 2nd best to someone who REALLY knows the product.)

I haven't had that issue since I was in my early twenties, 32/32 now, verging on 34/32 frown

I buy Japanese jeans these days. Waist sizes every inch, just get them adjusted for length. Specifications available online, e.g.:

Diesel Jeans - Speak to one of the assistants, find a style and that you like, then pick the wash (noting down the wash number). Go on Sports Direct find size, style and wash number and they're often half price.

FWIW Diesel Buster 32/32 for me.
Biggest problem with sports direct is they don't have fitting rooms.

If you can still get 506's they are a good fit as well.

Wrangler are pretty good sizing wise. They also do stretchy jeans that look good and are very comfy.

Same problem here, the joy of when you find a shop that does 28w to. beer
