Have you ever watched car adverts and thought, wow, that looks stunning? One big challenge when producing car adverts is the availability of the car, and the amount of expensive re-touching to the vehicle itself in the scene to make it realistic. Whether it is adding headlights, reflections or even adjusting the colour or tyres for different markets.
The BLACKBIRD is the world’s first, fully customizable car rig, and it could revolutionize automotive productions by not needing the actual car featured in the shoot. Using The Mill’s extensive history in CG, vehicle re-skinning and scene mapping technology, the BLACKBIRD can imitate many vehicles by expanding the chassis, changing tyres and capturing the HDR scenery when it’s driven.

i mean it's impressive... but surely the point of an advert is to see the actual product in action rather than just something that's been completely fabricated? i wonder if that's even legal in UK...

When you can't tell the difference between the product and the fabrication I would argue it doesn't matter...

There was a link a while back of a guy on a track experience day fitting the clutch instead of brake and the ensuing instructor panic. Can't find the link now can anyone help me out?

you might not be able to tell, but that doesn't mean they can just show whatever they like! I am pretty sure there are standards about ads not being misleading.

I'm fairly sure there should be standards about not being a negative tt in every thread, but it seems not.

You don't get three small people with every bowl of Rice Krispies, or a talking tiger with Frosties. Nor does Red Bull really give you wiiiiiiings.

I'm struggling to see your point here.
