This one of those 'what the hell did I just watch' but for some reason, I find these quite funny.

Some bloke's used AI to make a load of AI versions of Top Gear.

A new channel found through the Corridor Crew VFX video yesterday, 'The Movie Rabbit Hole'. A talk about 'invisible CGI' in movies like Top Gun Maverick where it was heavily pushed that it was filmed practically it was, but then they replaced all the planes they filmed with the F14s, F18s and '5th generation fighters' in CG and the grey area between in camera and visual effects and when people involved in the film and then journalists say there's 'no CGI'. 3 of 4 videos in the series are on the channel, not sure when the 4th is due out.

This was interesting - benefits/drawbacks of remote turbos (*in short you don't get turbo lag).

This is pretty interesting - Cleetus has bought a heli from south America - they are over hauling it to bring back into service.

What is really interesting is the size of the turbine - typically these crank out around 400HP from something the size of a rolled up beach towel.

MD500s are probably the best looking helis out there.

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct drained for inspection.
The longest aqueduct in Great Britain as well as the highest canal aqueduct in the world. I have been over this in a narrow boat.

I've walked across that a few times. It's quite alarming!

Nice bit of nostalgia, narrated by Sid James from the sound of it.
I mean, it literally says in the opening credits before a word is uttered, "Commentary by Sidney James".

Reminds me of Alex Van Halen; built like a tent peg but with punishing drum chops

Not much use in a rear engined car!
I guess it can be mounted in the front though...

Using sodium vapour lighting to easily mask out semi transparent or blurred things on film, as done on Mary Poppins in the 60's, it worked well, better than modern day greenscreen/blue screen, but the equipment and the process was lost. Now it's been recreated.
