I have boy girl twins who just turned 10 and a younger daughter who is 9 in Jun. Might as well be triplets. Not much more to be said than hasn't already been but our house is carnage all the time. Wouldn't change anything for the world.

Girls are definitely more evil!

What are the chances of having twins, but them being non identical/ a boy and a girl?
I have 6 year old boy girl twins, they are two very different kids but look out for each other and if one is ill the other worries hugely.
A source of amusement is tv - no matter what programme they get to choose they never ever agree even if they want to both watch it, must be hard wired into them.

So, what are your thoughts on the old nature vs nurture thing? My wifes a teacher and until we had kids firmly believed that most kids issues stem from the home life and I agreed. Since having the twins however, our views have change significantly.

To the best of our knowledge they're raised exactly the same, but our girl refuses to share anything with her brother and packs a sad if he touches her or disrupts her games. Where as he will bring her a snuggle and cuddly frog if shes upset, will always share anything with her.

When it comes to play though he loses interest quickly and has a small amount of imaginative play, but mostly copys her games. Although give him something new and he has to know how they work.

Our girl is also very lazy, she took ages to walk and at 22 months is doing the same with talking, the boy is a parrot and repeats everything. Unlike his sister who only uses about 6 words but still manages to get her point across with hand gestures.

I have twin sons, now 21. When they were born one had Blonde hair & had blue eyes, the other dark hair & brown eyes.
Conceived & Born naturally at just about full term (39 weeks), one was 6lb 1oz & the other 5lb 8oz
One is left handed, the other right. The left hander is now 6'1" the right hander is 5'8".
As I often say, one looks like me, the other like the milkman. biggrin

When my lads were born I did read a report that said that some twins born which were so different could well have been conceived a month apart, and obviously when labour is started on one, the other must come too.

My 2 are very different too. I have a theory that this is their way to show their individuality which I guess is more of an issue with Twins.

I've got non identical twins a boy and a girl, they are just coming up to 9 years old.
I'm not going to say that they aren't hard work but they are also very rewarding. The only thing that made it better for us was that we already had their older sister, so we weren't stressed-out first time parents.
They are totally different in appearance, the boy is tall, dark haired and slim, whereas his sister is shorter with fair hair, and their personalities are totally different.
They are the best of friends and will play for hours together, and they will also fight like cat and dog, but what they love to do most is absolutely wind the pi$$ out of their older sister!
When they started school they were in the same class, after a couple of years we found that the boy was getting lazy and allowing the girl to do all the answering in class for them both, so we had them put into different classes. This has really allowed the boy to come out of himself and in some ways academically take the lead over his sister.
He is a book worm, he would happily sit at home all day reading, whereas his sister has become very sporty; football, cycling, skateboarding, swimming, you name it, I don't know where she gets this from neither my wife or I are particularly sporty.
When we were told we were having twins, I was horrified at the prospect; no history or experience of twins in the family, looking back though I wouldn't change it for the world.
