I really like your style, reminds me a bit of Escher's stuff which I love. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.49484630...
About 10 years ago I got into quite a decent spell of work...I had teamed up with a car photographer and a luxury car dealerhip who offered my work as an optional extra or gesture of goodwill to their customers...
I'd charge £150 for an A3 drawing, b&w or colour...
That ended, life got in the way...
Now I'm happier working bigger canvases, and depending on what has been asked for I'm working between £600 to £1000
(I stil have a 9-5 so its a still a hobby, I pick at them as and when I'm in the mood...the people who buy them never seem to be in a rush...)

Why do people pay well for what I and most people see as paint thrown at a canvas [not mine/worse than mine] but the viewer/potential buyer can see struggle/darkness/joy/pain/healing, WTF it's a splodge and a flick of paint on a blank canvas... " Oh but I love it, it's so intense - here's £30,000. "
Why doesn't the almost photographic quality of a speeding car in paint command silly money ?
If anyone ever calls me an Artist I say "I'm not, I paint pictures of things"Why doesn't the almost photographic quality of a speeding car in paint command silly money ?
There is no angst or depth or feeling in what I paint. I paint pictures.
People pay silly money for "Art"
Mind you, those people are generally dicks with more money than sense or taste.

I agree, I'm not an artist, I paint pictures too.
But then looking at someone like Tim Layzell, he also paints pictures right?
he charges up to £7k for his pieces...
So maybe regardless of what it is and how you perceive it.....repuatation and a proven track record are worth something...

I enjoyed drawing a great deal when younger and after looking at the bigger image, my first thought was "how long must it have taken to draw that grille!"
Lovely pic.
It was a long time ago now, but the grill took a while...

I love the style of this! If I saw that in a gallery (and could afford original artwork) I'd buy that in heartbeatEdited by Benengo on Sunday 31st January 15:17
Nice work MF. You may be surprised at how many exhibitions/galleries are willing to accept tasteful nudes.
I sell via exhibitions, the web, commissions, and word of mouth. Not well enough known to be approached by galleries, and reluctant to give them my work anyway, largely due to the exorbitant commission many charge. And, yes, it is a great feeling when you realise someone is actually willing to part with good money for your work. The yellow toned ripples painting above sold within 10 minutes of my posting it on Facebook.

I've recently started drawing again and I've had a couple of requests from people wanting to buy prints. The work is an A3 black and white sketch and I have no idea how much to sell prints for. Also, what online outlets do people use for selling work? I dont have much of a catalogue (one so far!!) but if demand is there it might be worth looking to sell a few.

I know some people detest the usual social media sites, but they are not a bad place to start. Create a separate album and make it more public than your personal stuff. At least then you can gauge reaction. As for price, pretty much ask what you like, within reason. If it sells, you are in the right ballpark. if not, have a look at similar things on line and see what they are asking. Prints will be worth less than originals, but if the demand is there, it is not a bad way to go to get your name better known. It may be worth while joining a local drawing group or art society. You'll learn a lot and meet many talented people.
