Seeing other people's work reminds me how far I still have to go.

I have been tempted to try an art class, anyone been to one?

I go to my village art class, 2 hours on a Wednesday afternoon. There are about 20 in the class. I enjoy it for various reasons - the social aspect, painting/drawing subjects that I wouldn't normally consider. Mainly the discipline to have a set time for painting so I can't put it off. I'm not very good at it, but have improved since I started the classes.

Some nice work DRR, PL and MF. I work in oils. A small sample of works below. Some still life, some landscapes, and some a bit left field....

Lots of amazing stuff...
Just...wow!

Great work guys, there is obviously some talent out there!

Not sure if it falls within forum rules, but I'd be really interested if any of those artists had online shops? Please PM me if preferred or if it's not allowed to put a link on this thread.

I would like to know this as well. Personally I just stick stuff on eBay ever so often, one went for £40 but yesterday my drawing of a glass went for 11p plus 30p postage to France. So I'm actually down by about a £1 but it's a nice fussy feeling inside knowing that someone likes it.

I really liked your glass MF. Top work. I sell a few at local exhibitions and some via Facebook (paperbag), but mainly by word of mouth. Helps fund the GT40 build... biggrin

My Mum is a children's book illustrator, card maker, pet portrait and housing brochue illustrator.

None of her talents have been passed onto me!

Harumph, no. (See said I suck).

Ian McKellen when he was doing Waiting for Godot.
Nothing to be done.

If it's any consolation. I think Ozzy was taking the piss, it's very obviously McKellen.
I was wondering why anyone would draw Rolf Harris!
I thought it was George Lucas getmecoat
