In the last week I've ordered about 6 different items from Amazon grouped into 3 deliveries not one has arrived on time and 2 haven't turned up at all. What is the bloody point? All I end up with is a free month of a service that dosnt do what it's supposed to do!

Have you informed Amazon?

What was their response if you have?

As an Amazon user for over a decade and Prime user of over 2 years, I've only once had an issue.

I ordered a game, meant to arrive next day so (for some reason) they sent me another copy which arrived the day after - along with the original copy. I then sent it back for a refund getting myself a free copy!

I have to agree, Amazon Prime is a superb service. I use it a lot (business and personal) and I don't think I've ever been let down over the last 5+ years.

99% I'd say of my prime orders come next day some do even though I ordered late evening. Not even sure how that's possible.

Amazon delivered to us on Sunday, both me and the wife were stood at the front door looking at the guy like a dog being shown a 3 card trick

I've ordered loads of stuff on my Prime account, and before this week only one delivery had failed to make the next-day slot. This week - two next-day delivery failures already. Anybody'd think they were busy. hehe

I'm really impressed with Prime, 99% of deliveries have been on time for me.

My only issue was a £5 USB cable which failed delivery, I was in all day and it was a no show, until Amazon flagged it as a failed delivery and that I had to contact Amazon to re-arrange delivery and advise a safe place. I did and they gave me a months Prime membership for the hassle. I didn't even ask! Result!

Prime has been spot on for me for the past few years, then in the last month I've had two deliveries which didn't turn up when expected.

Prime "Expedited Delivery" is a bit of a pain in the arse. 3-5 days is more like 10-12 days in most cases.

Only ever had one thing not turn up next day with normal prime.

My wife has a prime account in order to get the TV stuff, but thought the free next day delivery would be a bonus. I have a normal Amazon account and last year we both ordered a few things from the Black Friday deals. Some of mine turned up before hers, even though I used the free standard shipping. She bought a PS4 for my birthday/Christmas, which should have arrived the next day, but took 5 days. The problem with that was we knew it was with Yodel and thought we'd probably never see it. She's not bothered about the lack of next day deliveries in most cases, as she wanted the TV, but advertising something that doesn't seem to happen is a bit off.

I have had one problem with Amazon Prime -- it took three days to deliver something. I complained (I actually needed it the next day for once) and they refunded and extended Prime. I find Amazon a pleasure to deal with in most instances. Bought something that went wrong two months later: They sent another one out straight away and I returned the item at my leisure. You really can't ask for better service.

Prime works superb when they use royal mail Tracked or Special delivery, when they use other couriers it is useless

Amazons local delivery companies keep large amounts of popular items in their warehouse for immediate despatch, they also feed to other courier companies hubs up until about 1am for next day delivery

Had Prime since it came out. Had one issue, which was the courier's fault (didn't turn up, claim to have left a card).

Ordered stuff yesterday before 14:00, was delivered today without issue. Can"t fault it. Couldn't be further from the OP's experience.

Incidentally you can attach family members to your prime account, so you should be able to get prime through your wifes account.

I have been a prime member for some years and only had one delivery go wrong, and that was corrected quickly.
