Only asked for a loan of his jump leads!!

People who ask for favors. Surely it's only a “favor” if you can offer something in return at some point to the person. The returning of the “favor”. If not, you're only asking the person to plug the gaps in your life you failing to address yourself . Either because you can't or are incapable of plugging them yourself. If you ask for their time/money/social connections / abilities, can you ever really return this “favor”? If not you're merely consuming their excess to plug your failures. You're absorbing the excess they have in reserve. The only other comparison I can think of is a leech. It lives of the excess of others. So before you ask anyone for a favor, ask yourself first. Do I have anything to offer this person? If the answer is no! It's a good chance you're a leech!

Out of interest - how many hours of use was acceptable when you lend a power-washer?I borrowed a roof-rack a few months ago and kept it for days... have I taken liberties?
