Needed a new mattress so had a butchers at what was on offer. Ended up buying a £1100 mattress for just on £250 and that included delivery, so Black Friday (which in my case was Grey Thursday) worked for me.

Well, to the "non believers", I've so far managed to get a brand new dewalt drill for the old mans Xmas pressie for £40 (should be £100) and a fk down duvet for £32 (should be £130).

There are deals to be had, but only if its things you were gonna get anyway!

Edit - spot the comedy auto correct moment...

Good, hopefully that will make retailers understand that in the UK its just a normal Friday, its what we used to call 'the boxing day sales'

Folk need to work to pay for stuff, so bunking off to go to the shops for £20 isnt seen as a good idea.

I did chuckle at the chap who bought a 'Tassimo coffee machine that is 'just for show' because he doesn't drink coffee'.

Planned obsolescence should be hated. I have no idea why people think of Apple as a big cuddly company, when they're far bigger s than even Microsoft.
It's not planned, how are they supposed to update hardware to be able to run software that requires more processing power? I know hating Apple is popular for some reason but expecting old hardware to be able run new software indefinitely is daft

Could it be because it's a Friday in November, and most of us are at work?

You're right, the problem is they dont prevent the new software uploading to hardware that will clearly not work properly with it installed. I wouldnt mind if they stopped offering updates for older stuff, so it ran at optimised level. If you want the new software, buy a new one.

This is about making my perfectly usable machine, almost unsuable as its trying to do stuff for which it was never designed.

Apparently Aberdeen City centre is a nightmare with traffic. Police on FB are using #blackfriday.

Or....it could be the fact they've shut a major connecting road at the top of union street as part of this new construction job AND closed another major connecting road on the same area for the entirety of December because everyone loves traffic chaos on the busiset month of the year for a "festive village"

Tomorrows going to be fun, shall be parking at the outskirts and walking in

What's the worst Black Friday deal you've seen?
