It's not planned, how are they supposed to update hardware to be able to run software that requires more processing power? I know hating Apple is popular for some reason but expecting old hardware to be able run new software indefinitely is daft
Agreed. However, they stop you using the software you've bought and paid for arbitarily in order to force the obsolescence. If you buy a PC, games console, whatever. Buy Fifa 2015. It'll run fine. Today's console or computer won't be able to run Fifa 2017, but no-one sends a message saying "you can't play Fifa 2015 any more, because 2017 is out" - forcing you to install 2017 knowing you can't play it.

Apple's ecosytem is stty because although you think you're buying an app, you're only really renting it. You can't use that app indefinately, because at some point they'll upgrade it to a version you can't use. Often, they'll do this within 1-2 years. It's balls.

I've restricted myself to two "deals" -

Nespresso coffee machine with milk thing from John Lewis - £79.99 with £75 voucher for pods; we already have an older machine which I will now take to work.

http://www.johnlewis.com/nespresso-inissia-coffee-...

and a Kindle Fire from Amazon - £34.95 - I've got a new iPad Mini so this is really just a dabble and will probably pass it on to my mum.

I bought a Le Creuset casserole dish for the wife off Amazon this morning, she has wanted one for ages, 50% off. Who said romance was dead!
LOL

Yep, you're definitely getting laid when you give her that!

Black Friday. The best way you can save loads of money by spending loads of money on loads of stuff you neither wanted nor needed.

Bought a Global knife set on Amazon for £99, cheapest elsewhere is £150, mostly £180-200 so I'm pretty happy with it.

You've put it much better than I would have.

Good, hopefully that will make retailers understand that in the UK its just a normal Friday, its what we used to call 'the boxing day sales'

Folk need to work to pay for stuff, so bunking off to go to the shops for £20 isnt seen as a good idea.
WTF!?

Popped into Sainbury's to pick up some paracetamol and noticed stacks of TVs and 2 people standing there looking at the spec. Was tempted to go up to them and ask if they wanted to have a tug-o'-war with one as it seemed to be the thing to do on this day.

In the end, I walked out with a salmon sandwich (64p was £2.50).

BLACK FRIDAYS ROCK!

Ok, it probably wasn't part of the Black Friday thing. But that's a 75% saving!!!

Made this morning, fresh enough for me.
It's the sunday morning Le Mans croissants you want to watch out for. They can be somewhat challenging.

I know how to rock it.

Been looking to replace my electric toothbrush and spotted this on sale at £57 (lightning deal on Amazon at the time):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/CrossAction-Rechargeable-T...

Used my £20 gift card so ultimately £37+delivery. Not bad for a £200 toothbrush (I'm looking forward to finding out what makes it worth £200!).
