Borrow another child. Get him to sit at the side and wait while you have family time.

Thanks Goaty Bill. I've ignored the comments regarding my lack of action at the time, as you say it's not helpful and it won't change my attitude in future, I'm just not wired that way, as annoying as it may be to some.

I will pursue it, but not for any gain and only to hopefully highlight the error of their ways to themselves.

Just wondering if this was Penter Carcs ( the pirate ship is what made me think that) and if so which one? ive been to two ( fairly recently) and had no problems, heck at the second one ( whinfell) we spent the time filming our little one with an action cam . Was the management who emailed you the site management or corperate?

What about people who don't have kids? Do they get to use the pool?

he got asked to leave the kids section of the pool where he his other half and his kid were. it would be wierd for a random adult with no kids to be using it.

Do they have a sign on saying "Dogs must be carried on the escalator" and someone checking to make sure everyone using it is actually carrying a dog as instructed?

Hi Op,

What an utter ballsack of a situation. As I have more than a passing interest in Safety Management Systems I took a look at HSG 179 for you and I STRONGLY suspect they are incorrectly interpreting the document. For example, statement 205:

"Pool operators will need to consider the number of young children (under
the age of 8 years) allowed into the pool, during unprogrammed sessions,
under the supervision of one parent or adult. The decision on whether or not
to admit adults with parties of children should be made having followed the
principles of risk assessment, taking into account the physical attributes of
the pool tank, the pool environment, staffing levels, and where possible, the
swimming capabilities of the children"

The only conceivable argument I can see for refusing admission to the pool for more than one parent is on the basis of overcrowding - but it doesn't sound like it was that busy?

For note, there are no further references to maximum number of parents in relation to child protection within the document, from what I can see.

I'm more distressed by the OPs lack of balls than the bullst policy. Next time just explain you are having a swim with your wife and kid and if they want you to leave the police will need to summoned in order for them to forcefully remove your wife.
Aaaahahahahaha! How the hell has no one else picked up on this? fking brilliant.

Can this type of post be added to the 'nuke em from orbit', frozen sausages', 'can of redbull' and 'shirley', etc?

It's just not funny any more.
