People using the word "inbox" instead of "Message" and the now awful terms of "I've inboxed you" (invariably stylised as "ive inboxed u") and "Inbox me, yeah?" and today I overheard someone on the phone saying "Send me an inbox, yeah?"
Send them an American style mailbox. That'll teach them.arfursleep said:

Roadworks which no prior warning of them anywhere. A couple of Fridays ago I was on my way to Cadwell Park, and given that it was Friday afternoon I decided not to take the dual carriageway route round Lichfield as it would have been backed up with traffic, so I elected to go through the middle of town and back onto the A38 at the other end past Trent Valley station. I go through the town (which as expected was fairly traffic free), get to the other side...and the access road to the A38 is closed for roadworks with no warning at all so I have to go back through the town and sit on the DC in traffic anyway!
Water leak, collapsed drain, gas leak, sewer leak, big pot hole etc, the list goes on. What do you expect them to do? There is no signage on the roads through the town to tell you that it's closed - only when you arrive at the island do you find the road to the A38 is shut.
Oh and of course, some of us that used that route to access the A38 on a daily basis now go through Fradley, rather than back tracking through the city at rush hour, where they've scheduled two more sets of road works to operate at the same time as the ones on the A38. Has added at least 15 minutes and 5 miles to my journey twice a day.
Years ago they put a by-pass around ferndown and Wimborne minster and to save money, made it a single carriageway. I am sure that there are many many PH'ders that have traveled that route. Then some cocksocket designed the roundabout and lights from hell at the eastern end of WM. Its now so slow on that section twice I have driven thru WM as its now quicker than taking the by-pass!

I work just off said bypass. This summer we don't use it at all, the rest of the week Monday-Thursday only. It's shocking.

To avoid Selly Oak they put in a bypass. Except that they put in a new roundabout, joined up at a second and didn't do anything about the absolute abortion that was the A4040/A38 junction and so the traffic queues all the way back and it's quicker and easier to go through Selly Oak still.
In comparison and to show how it *should* be done they put in a bypass round Northfield. It's perfect, saves time and has no holdups. - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.4148973,-1.97190...
Sky Sports. Not everyone is obsessed by golf or boxing so when there's a big event coming up such as the latest fight or the Ryder Cup the fact that you dedicate a whole channel (Sky Sports 4 is now Sky Sports Ryder Cup) to that sport should be enough.
We get that the Ryder Cup will be shown uninterrupted on Sky Sports Ryder Cup, but is there really any need to show it interrupted on Sky Sports One as well plus pretty much blanket coverage on Sky Sports News and Sky Sports Mix too? U

The guys that obviously go to the gym and have muscles but when they go out they wear the smallest tightest t-shirt possible - TW*T
Oh they're so buff aren't they? Anyone would think they're so shallow that they spent all that time down the gym trying to look good and wanted people to see that they look good. Oh, wait.

Getting your iPhone out at the shop/wherever only to hear "Oh no - it only works up to £30!" [select whichever smug/condescending version]
Well yes, a contactless CARD does, but I'm paying by Apple Pay!!! And I seem to have to explain it will work over 90% of the time - which sort of defeats the object because I could have got my wallet out, opened it up, selected the same debit card or credit card and plugged in the PIN in the time it's taken to explain it will work, and why!

Apple Pay isn't 'the same' as contactless but utilises the same technology.
As has been noted earlier, one of the main differences is that Apple Pay isn't subject to the £30 limit that contactless has.
Correct me if I'm wrong. As has been noted earlier, one of the main differences is that Apple Pay isn't subject to the £30 limit that contactless has.
If a terminal is contactless then it accepts apple pay.
Am I correct?
That is what I was saying.
