You know, jokes are like kittens; if you start to really dissect them then they don't work any more. smile

Sadly you never get rid of all the shards of glass. I was still finding them years later on a car that suffered that. Although, admittedly, I didn't have it valeted - maybe they are expert at getting them all.

The cross channel ferry equivalent of the people on planes standing up way too early are those who start their engines on the car deck and the boat hasn't even docked fully yet.

You aren't going anywhere till that big ramp goes in place in about 10 minutes time.

Boat crew should tell them to turn it off again.

Probably not. Fully expect there to be bits appearing in 6 months later... fking s.

Although must say Autoglass have been very helpful - had them out now twice in 3 weeks and they'll be back on Monday. A very easy company to deal with and good level of workmanship.

In films and t.v. programes when there is an explosion in space and everything within 100's of miles gets shaken about.

Very few space scenes on screen use correct physics

In the low budget film "Robot Joxx" (which involves giant robots, in pre-CGI hilarious Ray Harryhausen style stop-start animation) during the climactic fight scene they fly into space solely, I think, so they can show an explosion in space that is silent. I loved that. biggrin

Annoying adipose-ar5ed people who had trouble squeezing through narrow hatchways and doorways on a century-old Royal Navy warship. The same adipose-ar5ed people started singing that fking song from the movie Titanic.

Facebook "see fewer memories in your timeline". OK.

So why do I keep seeing them? Feck orf!
And 'people you might like to follow' and only Mark Zuckenberg (or whatever he's called) is shown, despite deleting the same message on a daily basis.
My facebook ones are; people you may know. Used to post up people who I have 20/30 mutual friends with, so there's a slight chance I may know them or come into contact with them at some point, now it's moved on to posting people I may know who only have one mutual friend in common, more common than not it's my friends family memeber, "no facebook, I don't know my friend's (who lives 3000 miles away in New York) 80 year old grandmother Irene, so stop suggesting I may know her."

Posts coming up on my news feed that other people have posted onto my friends wall, such gems as "can I borrow your lawnmower tomorrow?" and "we going for drinks on Friday?" Do I really need to see those?

Also annoying, is when FB shows you that a friend has commented on one of their friend's threads, but the OP has privacy settings which deny friends of friends comment access. Completely pointless sharing.

Another FB one is when you or someone else mentions something which isn't good (doing something dangerous, ill health, death etc) and someone who you suspect hates you clicks on 'like'.
Can be used both ways though!

People who don't use their hazards when stuck on the hard shoulder. Fair enough if the electrics are completely dead that you can't use them, but how often does this actually happen?
