Buying electrical items and the demands for all your personal information.
Was in Argos buying a toaster and they asked me for an email address. I just said I did not have one and they seemed ok with that.
I just give them the wife's e mail...let her get the spam evil

People taking full sized bikes on packed commuter trains. Several morons did this on my train tonight - nobody could get past. Just because they don't fancy using the bus, tube or taxi, everyone else has to 'enjoy' their hobby.
Depending on your train service they are not allowed during peak times, I saw a guy with a non folding bike get turned away from the barriers last night at about 18:00

"Unfortunately non-folding bikes are not allowed on our peak time services arriving in London from Monday to Friday between 07.00 and 09.59, and leaving London between 16.00 and 18.59"
Think that's the deal on Great Western at peak times too (I don't take a bike on the train myself).

On the tube last week there was some daft women with her bike across three seats. Plus her two kids with their bikes somewhere further down the carriage. That she couldn't see as the carriage was packed. It was middle of morning rush hour and they got off at King's Cross. Hardly the time or place for a nice cycle ride is it?!

The way that Virgin Tivo programme guide continually reverts to the default set up rather than stay with your favourites. FFS its such a simple thing but so f**king annoying.

Gmail?

I had that a few years ago. So I logged into his Walmart account, whereupon I discovered that he'd registered his credit card, so I ordered him a pack of ladies knickers for home delivery biggrin

Yeah, Gmail. I logged in but unfortunately 'byedam cali' has no delivery address or credit card otherwise he'd have an order for 30 tyres show up at his front door mad

rofl You win.

That is about the clearest and most benign (okay, chaotic-good?) way to alert someone to the magnitude of their cockup that I've seen.

I just dragged up this to post similar: People (in business) who say "We'll ring you back"
They never fking do.
It's right on the tip of my tongue to answer back "No you won't, I'll ring you in a day or two because you can't be arsed"
What makes it worse is that all i'm trying to do is bloody buy something from them (which is what they do; sell things). banghead

All that jazz

I've no doubt this has been done before but hey ho, it's that time of year again so here we go. Today's rancid little spoonful of acidic piss is, back for another bd go, the Edinburgh fking Fringe.

For the best part of a month of gargantuan wksockery the streets of the Scottish capital positively hum with "creativity". I can't make up my mind what pisses me off the most. Is it the unemployable postgraduate tts who turn up dressed in the sort of fking clothes only Richard fking Bacon would wear with a leather satchel stuffed full of torn up old newspapers while towing a broken breezeblock on a 1970s skateboard, because art? Or is it the shabby army of emperor's new clothes cocksuckers who clamour to pat them on the back?

The Fringe? Get to fk.

Edit: Hey, look at that - cocksuckers is allowed. smile

Sports news stations and websites reporting womens football and cricket in the same breath as the mens sport. These are minority sports being reported nationally. Ludicrous.

The Olympics. Most of the coverage I can avoid but even the weather forecaster on BBC News had to tell us what the weather was going to be in Rio de Janeiro for the opening ceremony.

When someone asks you a question, either here in a forum post, or on a Facebook post, or wherever (ie. by text from an internet device) that is trivial to google for the answer, and you have to look it up on the internet for them in order to reply. Usually with a link if you want to rub it in, and if you're really narked off then a link to the search result via "let me google that for you".

When you want to list something on ebay but don't know how much to list it for, so you search for the same item from other sellers......then for evermore ebay keeps e-mailing you to ask "are you still interested in this item" ( without an option to say NO ) and "here are some similar items we've found for you" furious

And despite 'Unsubscribing' several times, Amazon still e-mails me ads for cat food 6 months after my cat died frown
