Or how about being ready for your stop and standing by the door before the bus gets to it so the driver knows you want to get off there? Oh no, that requires too much thought and possibly looking up from your phone...
I was unable to do that a long time before I had visible difficulty in walking. Even people with 'just' dyspraxia may struggle with that. There's plenty of stuff people do because they're lazy and/or idiots but I don't think for the most part that's one of them. FourWheelDrift said:
I thought the trick was to press the bell at the very last moment possible and winning a special prize from the driver if you can make him stop in the shortest distance without skidding the tyres.
Reminds me of when I was on our school bus when I was about 12 - it was raining and the floor of the bus was wet, and as I got up to get off the driver had to slam on the brakes to avoid a car that barged through a gap past some parked cars rather than be sensible and give way to the bus. I slid over and nearly went down the aisle of the bus on my arse, before scrambling back up and sheepishly getting off to a lot of laughter. ClockworkCupcake said:
When someone asks you a question, either here in a forum post, or on a Facebook post, or wherever (ie. by text from an internet device) that is trivial to google for the answer, and you have to look it up on the internet for them in order to reply. Usually with a link if you want to rub it in, and if you're really narked off then a link to the search result via "let me google that for you".
I couldn't agree with you more.FourWheelDrift said:

I like the sound of that game. trouble is in my part of London the bell gets rung as soon as the bus moves and then keeps dinging until every dhead on the bus has had a go.Aircraft nerd whinge....
My local newspaper ( Blackpool Gazette ) heralding today as the 30th anniversary of the first flight of the prototype Eurofighter Typhoon
The EAP aircraft which did first fly 30 years ago was a technology demonstrator from which Eurofighter evolved, not a prototype !

People who use, on a UK forum -
Top dollar
Get go
Swap out
Off of
etc.
In fairness, "Top Dollar" has been part of the UK vernacular since the 1950's. Top dollar
Get go
Swap out
Off of
etc.
You can blame Scott Mills "off of" Radio 1 for the rise of "off of".
And "Swap out" has been used in engineering for yonks.

Also, I remember being obliquely involved with the programme in the tail end of the last centiry (I feel old saying that) and even then it wasn't called Typhoon - it was still "EFA".
Still, it's the fact that modern "journalism" doesn't rate facts and accuracy very highly in the quest for a good clickbait story.
In other news, clickbait churnalism annoys me beyond reason.

Nope, I've been an engineer for years, "swap out" is an Americanism that's recently taken off here due to all the US TV and forums. (Normal disclaimers apply about respecting your right to be unreasonably annoyed)
(Normal disclaimer about it being acceptable when used by Americans as they don't know any better)
Part-time TV commentators.
its beginning to get rdiculous. iirc it started with teh likes of barry davies commentating on tennis -he was a 100% footy commentator.
I realise there is a lot of stuff to cover with the olympics but Aggers covering equestrian? I love Aggers to bits but he is TMS through and through.
it cheapens it a bit for me. before you know richie fkin persad will be wheeled out. I cannot stand to see him cover horse racing and think because you use the words "turn of foot" it means you actually know anything about what you are covering... it does annoy me
