Things that annoy you beyond reason...(Vol 4)
Discussion
Not turning off movement sensors when leaving a dog in the car.
Honda Accord Estate current in the car park outside repeatedly sounding it's alarm every couple of minute as Bonzo's not sitting still.
Mind you, I've once locked the car doors whilst the ex waited inside - she tied sitting still but annoyed/embarrassed sitting in a car with it's alarm going off, interestingly couldn't unlock or open the doors from inside(?).

I thought that car alarm systems had to reset themselves after triggering, and if the trigger was due to the movement sensors then they reduced their sensitivity when they reset? Certainly the aftermarket one I had fitted to my Corrado back in 1997 did and I presume modern ones do too. Having said that, I wouldn't have a clue how to disable the movement sensors on my Mk7 Golf's standard fit alarm. In fact I don't even know if it has movement sensors.
Edit: I just looked in the manual and it does. And there is a special button on the door pillar next to the drivers seat to disable the internal monitoring. Every day is a school day.

What about the new(wish) vogue for stopping about a car's length from any white junction line? WTF is that all about. It happens all the time now. There are a set of lights near me which are traffic-governed and you can end up sitting there for ages because these numpties haven't gone far enough forward to trigger the sensor.
Oh, yes. fking morons. matchmaker said:

Maybe half of them mistake that last bit as the cycle waiting part and just get so used to doing it.
Those cyclists box things at junctions have got me wondering why on earth a row of cyclists would want to line up across the front of a queue of cars whose drivers are impatient for the lights to change? Is it to satisfy some kind of inherent death wish? They do enjoy riding three abreast on NSL roads.
If so, the boxes would be better coloured red, not green.

Now obviously, this is the annoy beyond reason thread, you've every right to your irrational annoyance, but I'm curious - what would be better/less annoying? I drive a) a van with b) hand controls so waving's doubly useless as an option - if someone's been nice, I'm gonna thank them, and I don't know another way to do it!

Deadlocks. To prevent the doors being unlocked after smashing a window.ClockworkCupcake said:

I believe nearly all VAG cars have this button in the same place.Shakermaker said:

He annoys me, but I think we can all agree that he annoys us well within reason. But this one habit he has, is unreasonable to get annoyed about on its own, except to me.227bhp said:
