Anyone know about stunt scooters?
Discussion
My 8 year old son who has always preferred skate boarding, after a session at the local skate park yesterday said he is now thinking of asking Santa for a stunt scooter as well for Christmas. Now there is only one fat man in our household who delivers presents - me, and I know bugger all about scooters.
My 6 year old has a Slamm scooter which seems okay, and I have had a look at Halfords at lunchtime who have deals on Mongoose and Stunted scooters at the minute. However Googling reveals that these only seem to available at from Halfords so may be their own brand and maybe not that great.
I have a budget of about £75.00 in mind, I don't want to get him something cr4p which will get him laughed at or will break / destroy wheels / bearings prematurely.
Any ideas what is worth looking at, bearing in mind I don't want to spend £150 as I have already bought him his main Christmas present?

I'd arrived in Barcelona for a holiday, I'd used it to go to the car which was parked a little way from the apartment that we where staying in, I did it going into the underground car park. That was done the first week in June and I still have a scab today. Won't be doing it again. The wife had to cut a chunk of flesh off.

I have just ordered one from this site, after looking around I have discovered that all scooters look pretty much the same to me, so I ended up getting one that was the colour he wanted (green) and suitable for over 8's that was within my budget of £75.00 (cost £73.00 including delivery). It is a reputable make so spare parts are available when bits wear out.
Thanks for the advice.
not cheap but the best brand from what i understand

Just bought one of these for my 5 yr old. It's full size and a little too big but he handles it very well. Solidly built from what I can tell and the price is good.
Like previous poster said, not a folding one!

My 10 year old is obsessed with these, apparently it's MGP all the way, he has one of these...

And so will his brother come Christmas.
So far he's taken it to all sorts of scooty/skatey/bmxy/rollerbladey parks and not broken it or been laughed at for having a crappy one.

My kids have MGP scooters and they're great. My youngest who is 8 has utterly trashed his over the last 2 years but I'm as far as I'm concerned that's what they're there for - I'd rather them used than lobbed in the corner of the garage.
There is a definite quality difference at the mid/low end of the market in terms of build and weight.
