Last assassination ATTEMPT was on Ronald Reagan in 1981.

The one previous to that was on Gerald Ford.

Both Republicans.
Whereas over here, if you leave out the IRA the last Tory MP assassination was over 200 years ago, Labour's Jo Cox 3 months.

You are some piece of work.

Jo Cox wasn't assassinated - she was killed by a loony.
just because she was murdered by a loon doesn't mean that she wasn't assassinated - she was murdered for her political beliefs by someone who held vastly differing political beliefs and who hoped his actions could influence policy. Isn't that pretty much a text-book case for calling it an assassination?

The looney that identifed himself in court as "death to traitors, freedom for Britain"

You won't be saying that after three weeks of his music and wall-to-wall documentaries.

It'll only get worse as the years go on - that's life (or indeed death)

Yep just Seem the news re Robert Vaughn.

What' a great shame, he was my hero as a child in the man from uncle, but also was great in many other films too.

Loved him in the war film , "The bridge at Remagen" too.
