I think it was a prediction rather than something thats happened.

Oh god yeah, sorry, it's definitely a prediction based on yesterdays news and how rough he looked last time I saw him! (He's always to be seen around the college quarter of Cambridge on his shopping bike.) Sorry for the confusion.

In the 60s? I can remember his books being openly on sale in major chain bookshops in the late 80s/early 90s!! yikes

well there are accusations that he did rape some of his subjects - was named in a book a couple of weeks ago. There are suspicions it may have been suicide.
