Serious question, this (before anyone starts trolling)

I'm looking to rent some workshop space from a friend, the only catch is that it is currently occupied by a pile of 100 airline seats from an ATR 72. He bought them from an airline that had converted their fleet to cargo. Don't ask me why he bought them...

Anyway, he'd like them gone to get his money back, and i'd like them gone so I have space to work on stuff. However, where exactly does one try to sell some airline seats? (no, I highly doubt the airline wants them back, especially for what they owe him in purchase and transportation).
My very first thought was to try Drew Pritchard of Salvage Hunters, however they are not interested in having them. I've tried mentioning them to some people who know some pub and club owners in the hope of them being used for some trendy interior renovation, but thats mostly been a dead end too (mainly because nobody I know is currently renovating any sort of pub, club or office that would remotely go with having it full of secondhand airline seats).

Anyone got any bright ideas? I'm running out of them!

If it was me, i'd buy a plane that has no seats then fit them and sell the plane.

The only thing I would do is put it on ebay etc. You never know but they will have to be sold very cheap..

Nail them to the trailer of a large lorry and make yourself a mobile cinema.

Get a sexy model in an air hostess uniform to sit on the seats. Then stick them on ebay with photo evidence (seats not the models)
You'll sell them in no time, plenty of sexual deviants out there with seat sniffing fetishes hehe

Whereabouts are the seats? I'd take a couple off your hands if local to the north west? Would be just the ticket for my man cave smile

They'd have to be first class ones. Have you ever tried those horrible cattle class ones.

Are there any companies that maybe buy and sell stuff for film props???
Find the company behind the tv program 'Air Crash Investigation' and you'd probably flog the lot smile

They are indeed in the north west. Here's a picture. They are from a commuter aircraft so not exactly first class, but having tried them I can say they are ridiculously comfy compared to most airline seats! The light smattering of airborne sawdust is nothing a quick hoovering won't sort.

If you're serious, PM me and I'll pass his contact details onto you smile

Look at this website for ideas. Or perhaps flog them your seats?

(Part of a Kevin McCloud documentary called Supersize Salvage, if you've got time to kill with 4OD.)

We had an old works Renault master van with 3 airline seats in the back. They were very comfy.
I suggest tying to sell them to people doing the same thing. They would probably be a lot nicer than the standard seats in my van.

They wont be M safety standard rated to fit into a vehicle. No 3 point belt fixing. Not worth the hassle.

The Wetherspoons in Farnborough has one row of aircraft seats in the bar, might be worth asking if they want some more.
