My road trip thread got moved to Readers cars.

WTF I haven't even mentioned my car in it.

Do moderators actually read any of a thread before moving ?

Is there a thread about a Polo GTI that got a lot of attention ?

I seem to have missed out on some humour whilst away.

linky please,I tried search.
It's as dull as it sounds: clicky but that thread did get a tongue in cheek mention in Shed of The Week.

Thanks Impasse.

Took a look and TLDR.

My thread got moved back to GG after I reported it myself and asked the question.

I'd actually post in it if my phone wasn't having a mare.

Sorry I'm post hogging but I have a lot to say.

I decided to show proof of my epic drive yesterday to please any " pics or it didn't happen" crowd.
Bottom left you see that I started at Lucca ovest, west.
At 9.45 I paid 50.9€ at Aosta toll,about 270 miles away.
Then at 10.20 I paid 44.20 for the privilege of using Monte Bianco tunnel.
At 19.57 I booked in at Calais P and O .

ETA pic doesn't show the 50.90 toll.

Different jobs I remember in different ways. One job had loads of characters, another had pet phrases - "Umgonnahava noice cuppa tea noooow" - a favourite pub; all sorts of things. This job in the busy little garage I will remember for a phrase uttered all day, every day.

"Where's the dog?"

Oh, and fking postman is getting worse! shoot
It's hardly a skilled job, but how hard can it be to read the address correctly! irked
Why am I getting someone else's post whilst mine goes missing?! Read the flat numbers properly! fk me!

"We have noticed that correspondence we have sent you has been returned to us undelivered. Please visit your local branch to update your details or call us." Even had a text caused by the above incompetence!

And an email also: "In the meantime, I note that we have recently had post returned that had been sent to you. This being the case,  I wonder if you would be kind enough to confirm, in writing, that you care still resident at the address?" banghead

It's great going on holiday.

Don't know who won Eurovision, the FA cup result etc.....

BTW I think Rosberg was a at fault.

Rosberg cost us Eurovision? Is there no end to his duplicity?

And I never got to watch my Spectre DVD.

I did get to see Deal or no deal Italian version.

Way better than Noel Edmund's one.

Tis a good weekend to catch up with the old folk. We have Uncle Ron coming to tea today. He's a lovely chap. This morning I shall make scones. Last evening I made chocolate cake. There's other stuff as well if he isn't fond of scones or chocolate cake.
