Just got back from a 00:01 showing of Star Trek. Two hours of unfathomable nonsense. Loved it.
Contemplating going myself, sadly a post-work showing near work is going to be kinda hard timing-wise, presuming i call it quits at 5, i need to hang around the city for another 2 hours by myself..And ive been feeling rather tired and down, not sure if ill enjoy any movie in this state.

For me in similar circumstances there are two potential solutions. One is to listen to Lou Reed's Berlin and realise things could be worse and the other is to watch Marx Brothers films which make everything better.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKTT-sy0aLg

LinkedIn lost me when they claimed they had looked at my profile and experience and invited me to picture myself as an apprentice on CrossRail.
This morning I had an email from RegionalEngineering who had, they claimed, "had new jobs posted that we think may be of interest to you based on your skills, qualifications and current and preferred locations, the jobs listed below match the criteria set out in your jobs by email in your account settings.'
So, what did they come up with for a CAD draughtsman with nearly forty years of experience in the oil and gas industry?
No mention of beer or anything.

I cleaned a seawater strainer today and won a crab. It was dead though.

When I first came to Newbury I worked for Plenty who, amongst other things, made seawater filters. In some cases the site lads would go out to determine why the user was complaining of poor results to find the filter with a pipe in and a pipe out and nothing inside; the internals had all washed away. The seawater in and seawater out would have been identical for years but no one had noticed. Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
