Who was it that bought a basket case Silver Shadow on PH ?
A reasonable car with 11 month MOT today sold for £3800.
Not much money in basket cases then....nope.

Marvellous car. I took a 1987 one as payment for a year parking it in 2013. Lovely condition and a great dark pastel green colour. Sold immediately for £450 I wish I'd kept it but don't know much about foreign classics. This rocks my boat though just wish I had space left. Oh and £45k

I think I started a thread once about if, in addition to an ordinary everyday car, you could only have one interesting car for the rest of your natural, what would it be? Despite never owning a TVR I went for a sixties Tuscan or a Vixen if a Tuscan was too much. It has almost everything I need from an interesting car.
The thread got nowhere.

Well I seemed to have followed your direction and never saw the thread.
Not too sure if that's good or bad.

I first of all thought it was our friend Chaos who'd bought that wreck, then remembered Slow too.
The car yesterday was resprayed wedding car white but £3800 looks good value.
How about £1900 for an E55 AMG ?
Bargain or Bork of the day.

If I was 'between projects' & had drank a pint of Absinthe I'd have that in a heartbeat.Bargain or Bork of the day.
However, I've got a couple of ongoing things and being sunday, I've had a quart of Absinthe already - so I'm afraid I must pass on this occasion as good sense has prevailed.
Some outstanding bargains to be had though...

I even closed the bonnets carefully of a couple of cars to get better pic of them.
On this,not sold at £175000....yikes.
I did my best Iva today and had a mooch around a nearby Classic Car show. Some local motoring enthusiasts had gathered together in the Guildhall Square to show off their shiny cars. Quite an odd mix - check out the neighbours of the Cossie - but one or two stood out for me and it was fun to see them all nonetheless. I've included the Renault 30 for nostalgic reasons. When I were but a lad doing my YTS, a couple of these used to pop in for a service every now and again. They were the height of oddball luxury.
Oh and, not forgetting Mr Wayne's runabout:
