Morning All!

10 days with only a short period of interweb access is at an end, currently using the 'free wifi' in Cafe Nero Barnstaple.

Weather has been a bit rubbish the last few days here, but I'm somewhat rested & ready to tackle the M5 & M4.

Seems I've missed rather a lot.

Sad to note Bomma hasn't got a man in to sort the fence yet. Why don't people listen?

Leave here once 'The Cost centres' return from some retail therapy & it is my intention to arrive in Wargrave mid PM & spend the next 5 days on the Thames.

What's this I read about a Discovery in readers wives?

Blergh, seriously considering going home sick.. i think blaming my current miserable feeling entirely on the green bits might have been a tad unfair.. back-ache, swollen glands in my neck..

And no ability what so ever to concentrate on doing anything useful

Ooooh, I hadn't seen that facelift before. Shame it's not red.

Is that a 30000GT Dicky? I wasalways under the impression they were quick in the manner of a Skyline - big and heavy but very clever

ION, has anyone heard from The Moose recently? I think I met him earlier...

You seem to have a bit of a 90's theme going at the moment chap! Any further thoughts on the Readers Cars / R5 business? If you are going ahead with the thread, it'd be nice to celebrate the opening of it properly? The WI could set up a cake stall, I can bring the Absinthe cooler, V6 will no doubt furnish us with something of interest & others can chip in where they can - work, holidays & illness permitting?

Always happy to oblige.

A ready stock of vehicles and ephemera of all types at your disposal. Always able to muster anything from a pineapple grenade to straight cut Austin 7 gearbox. Displayers of bizarre and eclectic objets to The Gentry.

Apparently there is a new metallica album coming out in november..

I was hyped listening to the first song (already released), but after reading some discussion, and then making the mistake of putting Ride the Lightning on, im not so sure if itll be actually good. I bought Death Magnetic, played it for a while, but i cant think of any reason to put it on right now, while the older stuff is still brilliant.

They did cover Whiskey in the jar

Garage inc is a pretty cool album, even if none of the songs are original metallica, there is some seriously good stuff on there.

Don't know is the answer. I'll find out. The gaffer said it's the non-turbo version. Agricultural was the word that sprang to my mind. My ancient high mileage XJS twenty years ago seemed like the pinnacle of sophistication in comparison. We also have a twin turbo which I will volunteer to take for MoT so I'll see if there is redemption to be had.

Patience! The car first has to be recovered from the Bond villain's lair where it currently lurks.

Thanks for coming to my aid in the Cool Classics thread, Impasse. I could have done with some help in the Bad Parking thread, too. I posted a car and caravan taking seven spaces at Clacket Lane Services and folk thought I was being insensitive to the driver's problems.

Morning all, just prepping for another day of being roasted in the garden, think I used a bit too much lard yesterday.

HP Original Barbecue Sauce.

So much cheaper than that Factor 50 nonsense.

Supermarket own brand sauces cheaper still!
