ION,

I've just been contacted by an old flat mate from when I lived in Oz some 20 years ago. Before the days of Facebook and everyone owning mobiles I did like most and didn't keep in touch. Looks like quite a few of the crew are still about smile How time flies.

Been a nice, nostalgic morning.
I’m not as nostalgic as I used to be. I really miss that.

Excellent.

I don't like to grizzle. Especially when the sausages sizzle.

I'll go and sharpen a chisel.

Thanks.

Watt?
Near us at Crofton south of Hungerford is the pumping station at the high point of the Kennet & Avon canal. The job is now done by a small electric pump but the original beam engines are still there and are fired up occasionally. One is a James Watt engine.

Stunning part of the world. Have been fortunate enough to pass that way a few times on the way to Bormio.

I stayed on Como for a few nights back when I was 17 and travelled around a bit of Italy. I've not kept the promise to myself to go back for longer one day...
