Hear me out. Got a free breakfast token this morning from a place called Dishoom.

Just had a sausage naan roll.

Shropshire sausage, wrapped in a naan with cream cheese, black pepper and some coriander with a side of chilli tomato jam.

Beat that!

wink

Morning all.

I awoke in my chambers this morning with no recollection of how I arrived there. Has Battert been stocking the TT bar with home brew again?

Good boy. Automatic clutch.

Picture if you will your bewildered correspondent in the car hoping for some forwards or backwardsing and not sure quite how to achieve it. It was an elderly A Class Mercedes. Never seen it before and not keen to see it again.
Yay! I think SAAB first had them, I had no idea they were on old A Classes. What was it like to drive? I can't imagine they're very good.

Valeo had them long before that. Ferrari put them in the Mondial around 1989/90.

Just watched from my friend's balcony as President Obama and his convoy pulled up to my hotel in LA. Secret Service everywhere, snipers in the back of SUVs, 30+ police on motorbikes front and back, the works! Very surreal and massively impressive. Had a fairly decent look at the two Beasts when they'd parked up, they are truly gigantic.

They say every day is a school day, I had no idea (obviously) that they had been around for that long.

Ferrari built this unique TR spider one off for Gianni Agnelli in 86. That alone would make it the height of 80s cool, but it had a switchable auto clutch, as Agnelli had a dodgy leg.

You could use it as a normal manual, but press a button and the clutch pedal retracted and the Valeo system was activated.

As we would have said at the time, rad.

Others agree, it just sold for 1.2m eu.

It's counter intuitive. The urge to press the left pedal when changing gear is almost overwhelming. I only did it twice, both at low speed. To the consternation of the young lady behind in a Discovery it has to be said.

He go. He stop. Very bad.

I was going to ask about the colour choice for a one off Ferrari and then read the back story in the advert.

Nice touch.

Just looked up Dishoom.

I've delivered to the art college on that site.

It has the most frustrating address,Granary square.

There's another Granary square all of 2 miles away and the new one doesn't feature in any maps older than a couple of years...irked

Lovely looking car as well. I can see that creating all kinds of appealing gurgling noises when it glides slowly through the local Monaco ghettos.

Sometimes, old shcool brute wins over new school bling.
