Saw a cat chasing a fox in the early hours yesterday. Shouldn't it be the other way around?!
Then it sounded like a proper fight! eek Shrieking, hissing, all sorts of nuisance noises. I always assumed it was two cats fighting...over females in the area.

Got stopped by the police too. At least a female was chatty. Didn't get her number though. frown

In other wildlife news, yesterday saw a mummy duck and about 5 or 6 juniors waddle across a main road, stopped the traffic.

Ducks didn't care.

Sometimes see birds crossing the road towards Mitcham pond too.

Morning all!

The french company-derv is catching on that it is getting replaced, yesterday i used the alfa for a normal run around, and this morning the megane decided to self-mutilate in spite, broke its driver side windscreen wiper, meaning i cant safely drive it. Dropped it off at the dealer right away, and i hope they get it fixed ASAP, because im having the kids over for diner and the night, having that car stuck at the dealership will create all sorts of logistical challenges.

Company car is borked, it's inconveniencing you; get a cab and submit it as expenses.

As it turns out, i dont need the car today after all, the ex failed to mention she will be dropping the kids by my place this afternoon, so i could've not touched the damn car at all this morning, and just taken the tram to work, instead off course i did, the wiper broke, and i took the bus, and the derv is at the dealer...

So now the problem is, does the dealer fix my car quickly today, do i pick it up this afternoon, or just go home, use the alfa tomorrow and somehow manage to pick up the megane tomorrow afternoon/saturday?

And part of me is waiting for the lease-co to be a bunch of tight-wads and protest over the fact that the car is at the dealer less then a month before retirement, at which point i'd gladly reply that im willing to end the contract right now :P

Now elbow-deep in what was a working motor only three days ago. Jeez, she's in need of some love. Might put those stupid wheels I bought by accident on the FB for an encore, just to ensure both cars are unusable hehe

One has to wonder why you bother with those things Nik, if you want something unreliable/unusable, why not go for anything Italian? At least those things look beautiful standing still :P

On a serious note, i havent managed to find a thread on your RX's, but is this typical of RX7s/rotaries, or are yours fetled/tweaked/boosted to ridiculous levels to need a rebuild every week?

actually, mine have been pretty reliable lately. I think the FD is just overdue a bit of love, I've been neglecting her a bit. I accept a certain level of collateral damage, joking aside. When you're asking a 25-year old car to double its factory horsepower output and yet still use it as a daily driver through winter, it's never going to end well. And I think that getting 450bhp from a 1.3 litre engine is probably in the dictionary under "highly strung" hehe

At least she got to do a few laps of Silverstone before she had her sulk. I keep meaning to do a thread on them, but I've had the FD for eight years now, that's a lot to catch up on

Ah that is fair game then, I cant imagine my 14 year old alfa coping well with a few laps of silverstone and a 100% power boost without some serious maintenance/breakage biggrin

4 days in and I'm pleased to announce operation "fk you bunny" appears to be a complete sucess. It's taken 2.4km of highly conductive electrical wire and an energiser recommended for keeping wild boar at bay. But I appear to have neutralised the rabbit threat.

To quote Obama "Mission accomplished".

Now for the next Battle......War on Moles.
