Alresford, home of English watercress, is thirty miles from here. We like a bit of watercress. We had some with a salad this evening. It's a year round crop. We see Watercress Company lorries a lot round here.
How do you tell if watercress is washed or just as it was picked? Ooh, deep philosophical questions about salad.Justayellowbadge said:
On my way home from work, knowing full well that doing so will ruin it for me, why do I have an almost overwhelming compunction to click on the Line Of Duty thread?

Spoiler Alert: they all lived happily ever after. It was all a big misunderstanding but was sorted out in the last ten minutes. All friends again.Must...resist....
Not the best of days.
Took a day off work to accommodate some Salvage Hunters -esque bloke who wanted to come and buy 20 sets of seats from me. He turns up, had a good look and says they're a bit more tatty than he thought because the fabric is a bit dusty or the odd armrest has a discoloured patch.
Ends up only buying 3 cherry picked ones so meaning I still don't have room to bring my trailer in
Then, having spent 2 weeks refurbishing some trailer wheels, Kwik Fit manage to take most of the paint off the rim edges whilst putting tyres on them. That's 2 coats of oxide primer and 2 coats of Hammerite, left to harden for a week, scraped off like kiddies poster paint.
So what the bloody hell are wheels painted with in the factory?
Oh and to top it off, it took 2 hours to get home rather than the usual 1, due to motorway misery
Roll on tomorrow...

Hammerite is formulated to go straight on to rust. No need to prime it. Clean off the worst of the rust and ensure the surface is free of dust, dirt and grease. There is also paint specially for wheels.Took a day off work to accommodate some Salvage Hunters -esque bloke who wanted to come and buy 20 sets of seats from me. Greetings Troops.
Today, after 32 years sat in front of a PC with a phone glued to my lug (OK OK I got the occasional toilet break ), I have 'retired' myself from the corporate-grind.
I'm equally relieved, excited and elated. I'm also pooping my shorts that I'll go a bit mad without the structure of it all.
Month-long European road-trip launches on May 13th so that'll be nice. Going to try to obtain a tennis-coach qualification too.
Outwith the above, anyone need their windows cleaned?

Wow, that's pretty exciting, good luck. Today, after 32 years sat in front of a PC with a phone glued to my lug (OK OK I got the occasional toilet break ), I have 'retired' myself from the corporate-grind.
