Currently listening to iron maiden, the new album is quite good, and empire of the clouds is an excellent song, i love it when maiden do a slightly more sedate song with loads of historical context, wasted an entire afternoon last week on reading about the R101 and other airships on wikipedia.

Also, ive gotten the idea back in my head that i want to build a new lego supercar, currently im thinking of a black Murc R-GT based off of this moc:

That in black, with RWD only and a big honking spoiler and diffuser off the back should look pretty good.

Should be doable, the annoying part is that for that particular MOC, there arent any true instructions/part list, just a bunch of photos of different stages during the build, so gathering all parts will take quite some sleuthing, not to mention my proposed RWD conversion, as this will eliminate the center dif, the front axle wont be driven (potentially allowing different/cheaper suspension bits), and the engine/rear axle transmission will need to be redone, potentially adding a gearbox... quite a big project, as the car is roughly 1700 parts to start with.

The same guy also did a gallardo, for which the instructions are free to download. The bad news is that it apparently doesnt have proper suspension, and i much prefer the big v12 lambos over the "R8 in a track-suit" V10 models

EDIT: the same guy also did a lovely 911 GT3 and various other awesome cars

For a ~1700 parts model you'd be looking at €120-200 depending on where and how you buy your parts, and whether there are any rares in there. The wheels for instance start at €1.50 each for light gray, but the chrome/metallic as seen on the pic doesnt appear to even really exist as an official parts (and in some cases a wheel/tire combo can do €30 a corner if you want the really rare stuff)

On some cases colour swapping will also save a lot of money, stuff like the flex axles/panels can be insanely expensive/hard to find if you want one in the wrong colour, while another colour will make it dirt cheap.

I can actually look at super cars without thinking about Lego. How long before this changes & it all goes critical?

A friend of mine was minus his competition car for a season whilst it had a major overhaul and engine rebuild so he decided to use his Mrs's panda 100hp for some hillclimbing and sprinting.

He got several hill records in the 1400cc production class lol

Dreams are funny things sometimes. I don't mean life goals etc, I mean those little stories in your head when sleeping.
I don't actually own a black Evora, so why would I be concerned about a yellow Mk3 Cortina reversing into the front of it?

Had the worst night of sleep in ages, i feel absolutely broken today.... I think the whole splitting up thing is starting to hit me properly, not so much missing her, as the being alone is kicking my ass right now.

I can sleep through tactical nuclear exchanges, large diesel engines running in the next room and the bed I'm in moving in 2 axis at random; welcome to life on a small ship shared with people who don't care about the offwatch crew's rest. Earplugs help.
