Whilst we're discussing books.

There was one other I considered titled SHUNT,obvious who it's about.

Paperback but pigging HUGE.

Larger size than average paperback and very thick too.

Decided it was too big for me and I have read a James Hunt bio before.

That looks great actually, thanks for that. I'll go and get it later in the week I think.
Enjoy, it is a fascinating read.

If you want to talk about books also read Freefall by Tom Read, all I will say is very sad and read at your peril if you have ever jumped out of an aeroplane.

Just got home from the 6 hrs of Spa. "But Vitorio" you might say "the race is still on isnt it?", and yes, yes the race is still on.

Turns out that hanging round a race track by myself watching cars going by without having any clue as to WTF is going on on the rest of the track is boring as fk, no matter how awesome the la-source, eau rouge, radillon combo is... Im seriously considering cancelling my le mans plans, having a mood like this when im 2 hours away from home is one way, i dont want to risk a full week of going full on grump mode stuck in the north of france..

I feel like im no longer able to enjoy anything by myself, and i fking hate it. It is as if my ex slowly replaced my own life with hanging off of hers (and yes, i know im just as much to blame for letting that happen), and now that she is gone im an empty shell, a robot without a purpose, a puppet without a master... (yes, this all sounds very sick, im aware of that)

There's no harm in bailing on everything, but I would try not to think about it right now. You've just had a bit of a crappy day and that's never the best frame of mind to be in when making decisions about the future, you always end up being more pessimistic than you should be.

Make the decision when the time comes, see how you feel about it then.

In the mean time, I don't know what to suggest. Learning to be alone again is hard, and I'm not sure there's much anyone can say to make it any better. I think it's a good idea to try and find something, anything that you can do that gets you out of the house and around other people. Iva goes to car gatherings, I go to the pub because I have friends that work there, we both live alone (at least, I think you do Iva?) and we have to find others ways to socialise with people.

Is there anything you've been interested in but haven't done before? Or something you know you like that you'd like to do more of?

Also, do you do any exercise at all? I hate exercise with a passion but I do always feel better after some exercise, I used to go for a walk or a cycle but now I do pilates.

Thanks mate!

I know right now isnt the time for decisions, so im not pulling the plug on le-mans just yet.

As for activities out of the house, i do enjoy cycling every now and then, and i done a few months in the gym last year, i should get back to that really, that stuff helps clear my head, but it doesnt get me anywhere socially.

Thanks for the encouragement guys!

Yes,Alex, all on my own, which explains why I spend a great deal of my time around here.

ION.....the BBC are plugging new era Top Gear, looking forward to it but it's going to start when I'm away probably.

Wouldn't give 2 figs if the new series was with the previous 3 clowns, sorry.

In more other news.....I'm going to miss the Eurovision cheese fest.

I just hope Belgium don't win.

My BiL was at his Italy house when their footballists won something, don't know what year it was.

The place went MENTAL apparently.

Vitorio, I watched the race on the TV because I can't go to races.

But from what I've read if you go to LeMans and just be yourself no one will blank you (unless you are really weird!) so go and enjoy it.

Some of us can't go but really want to, so go for me? Well unless you are really weird!

Spa was a fantastic race, wife didn't moan at me for not doing all the jobs I should have done!

His is a MK2.5 Nik.

I've read here that they're worse for rust than the MK1.

Bought a pair of cirslip pliers from Halfrauds. The way they're fixed in the packaging makes it look like they're internal pliers. They're not. Soon as you take them out they snap closed and you realise they're external.

*sigh*

Set of four circlip pliers on eBay; both types, straight and curved jaws. A quid and a bit cheaper, including delivery, than one pair of the wrong ones from Halfrauds. No bloody wonder the High Street's dead frown

Message for DC.

I see that Humer Unbeam has recent activity.

I'll try to get some European content but generally failed last year way up in Nordic countries.

Me too! May actually get to say hello this time.

Didn't look too busy today from what I watched, kind of hoping it isn't too busy tomorrow as well.

Probably less chance of meeting tomorrow,my car will be in whatever car park outside the circuit that they're using.

I might recognise you first, with your extensive ink.
