Meanwhile, this is most of the stuff I have to fit back into quite a small engine bay! Kinda hard to believe it all fitted
I might not try to fit the space hopper though

I don't like to speak too loudly or too confidently for fear of jinxing it, but it seems the RRS is back in one piece.
Very pleased (yet again!) that I bought a box of electronic trickery for it some years ago. Once you plug it in via the OBD2 socket it's possible to use a laptop to interrogate and manipulate pretty much every electronic system the RRS uses. Particularly important for doing something as straightforward as the handbrake mech which needs cycling to set the cable adjustment, then the handbrake mech's on-board inclinometer needs to be told when the car is parked on the flat to set the baseline.
When did this stuff become so complicated? Yes, it was achievable as I had the correct tools at my disposal but is there really any need for it when a set of spanners would have sufficed up until now?

What if you don't have any cousins? I don't. I could take Clive next door but we don't have a lot in common and he might think I'm kidnapping him. We'd be driving through Newbury in the rush hour with his anxious face pressed against the passenger window mouthing, "Help me!" to passers by. I could put him in the boot I suppose.

Ive got two spares, you can borrow one of mine, although one of em isnt an adult yet..And what a morning indeed, i managed to oversleep by an hour, had to put fuel in the tank (managed to get 58 litres in what is specced at 60) and it was absolutely pissing down all the way.

Just dropped off the RRS for its MOT later on today. Think positive thoughts please.
It's only a little bit broken and it will be in repair for just one week and cost < 3k, which is very good for a RR.Oh yeah, and the courtesy car will be a Daihatsu Sirion.
Think happy thoughts

ION, trying to buy walking shoes Via Amazon is a trying experience. Merrel shoes need about a size and a half upgrade from 'normal shoes'.
