One guy I know did have to chase them a bit though.
Bad day for roadkill at work. One pigeon played chicken with me and... vanished in a puff of feathers, leaving no corpse visible so I don't know what the hell happened to it. And there's also a dead snake on one of the site roads but I have no idea who did that. It wasn't very fat so it wasn't the cause of the missing pigeon corpse.

I've only found one other recommended bodyshop and that's in Sheerness which is a 4 hour hike home...

A lot of MoT garages will do sills as a matter of course. They see their role as fixing your car to get it through the test so it wouldn't be a concours job but it would work and it would be cheap. I've only found one other recommended bodyshop and that's in Sheerness which is a 4 hour hike home...

And upon what, exactly, do you base this observation?
The garage where I am the world's oldest errand boy does it. For the simpler sills they bend up a bit of sheet steel and weld it in. For the more complex ones they buy a sill and weld it in. And for the very complicated ones they get Mick the Welder to come in and do it. In all cases, unless the owner insists otherwise, the sill is sprayed with black goo and an MoT is issued.

So, what did they come up with for a CAD draughtsman with nearly forty years of experience in the oil and gas industry?
No mention of beer or anything.

Last week I discovered a talent I did not know I had. Perhaps I should add it to my CV because you never know what employers are looking for. I went to collect a car from a car sales yard run by an amiable Indian chap and his gaggle of salesmen. The guvnor wasn't there and his lads were sitting in the office when I arrived. I asked about the car and my prospects for picking it up. They spoke politely to me in English and to one another in what I guessed was Hindi. They were very sorry but they had to go and would I mind waiting for ten minutes.
