I might actually watch the Formula Bernie race today, seeing as Lewis is starting from a different postcode

from usual.

Depends on if it clashes with the Bangers and destruction derby on ITV4 ,more commonly known as the BTCC.

Channel 4 .....ITV4......ooh what a dilemma.

Don't be bothering me today....I'm doing sod all till much later....

I do have a bridge to erect on a motorway by Monday yer know......Best get started.

They popped by the library at the Towers and I sent them off with this:

We can all rest easy.

I messaged both of them and they both came up with feeble excuses to not turn up.

Something about pelican grooming.

I have bought a new (to me) car - but what do I do with the ex-car?

Insurance write off, 170k, French....I bought it back from the insurance for £50. biggrin
What on earth possessed you to buy it back?
j

1.It still worked.
2. Only looks a bit dented here and there. biggrin. And the mud hides that quite well.
3. I needed transport so the herd didn't expire through lack of food.
4. I needed to car shop; not all of us have a 'fleet'. laugh
Good place to keep an eye on cheap cars!

What about a 'Post Pictures Of Vehicles You've Seen That Interest You' thread? I get so much stick on the 'Cool Classic Cars Spotted' thread it's either start a new thread or post them on here. Oh no, hang on, some of them won't be trivial and then I'll be in trouble here as well.

Woe, woe and thrice woe.

Person who posted after your Scirocco just happened to have a job lot of stunners.

I don't know why people get so arsey about newer semi classics.

It's just pics on a forum.

Just carry on DC.

The van was pushing it a bit....biglaugh

Just had an extended lunch in the city with my sister, which involved a whole bottle of wine, and later on finding out that a "medium whitebeer" actually meant half a litre drink

A good, if somewhat unproductive way to spend the day, also had a kebab on the way back

It was his "How about some proper classics" that made me wonder if a new thread was called for. That way we could leave the snobs to search for their personal holy grail.

Yes, I knew the van was a bit much, but it was immaculate. And so well done. A labour of love.

Well done that man.

Reminds me of dinner last year at the Goodwood Hotel during the Revival. Three at over £120 a head and having walked around all day no one was full so we had to go into Chichester afterwards for a kebab. Might just as well have gone there instead and had two kebabs and spent the £115 saved on loos women.

In all fairness, lunch and the kebab were four/five hours apart

Excellent way to spend the day though, sitting in the center of a university city after courses have started again, lots of eyecandy
