Different driver today, one who's been with Amazon Logistics (Yodel) 6 years.

He was ok with me opening it up before signing when I told him what had happened yesterday.

Was it the driver yesterday? if he had a hot glue gun, maybe, I don't know.

5. Email photo of empty box and receive another phone
6. Sell "spare" phone on ebay

You may be onto something there.
Although I suspect the IMEI would be blocked .
