The uses of the words appreciating and depreciating asset, like ffs I don't care if a car looses half its value, I've enjoyed owning it and it's cost me more in fuel and tyres than anything else. Why you would want to tie up cash in the hope it might " appreciate" and then not use it is beyond me.
People who use the winkie smiley to imply secret superior knowledge and a sense of mystery.
e.g.
Bloke 1 - I wonder who Lewis Hamilton will be driving for next season?
Bloke 2 - I couldn't possibly say;)
The bks that gets trotted out about wealthy people drive about in a Mercedes 190e from 1986 & anyone driving a new Phantom is a lottery winning chav. Or bought it on finance - or even worse...Leased.
Which brings me onto my next point - the people that moan about leased cars & the fact that if you haven't bought it cash you're a pauper & they'd rather drive a 13 year old Octavia they own outright than pay £150pm for a brand new one.
Attention wes that post pictures of themselves wearing stupid jeans and a fking cowboy hat then make repeated posts also attention whoring.
For some reason, of late, I keep getting words highlighted (one up above was "Amazon"). If you click it, it takes you to the Classifieds where it tells me there are no Volvo Amazon cars for sale. Genius marketing
Not being able to multi-quote annoys me more than it should really.
The dislike of the bloke Flemke who has the F1. I don't read the thread very often, but he comes across as a good bloke. Some of the people posting on the thread need to take a good look at themselves though.
People that add a signature at the end of their threads - even more so if it doesn't make any sense.

Certain phrases should cause the users profile and posts to be deleted:
'Fast road setup'
'Wrist time'
'Pulled the trigger on'
Also I like watches but the 'wrist shots' are just stomach-churning especially if they have a carefully manicured background including more often than not a bottle of whisky or something else equally pretentious.

Rolex in front of Porsche steering wheel. In any case, once you have a battery or similar technology in a time piece, it ceases to be interesting beyond it's scrap value.
So aside from watch threads....
(seriously though just carry on, I won't click on them, and we'll all be happy )
To embellish on the point of abominable spelling, could people not be pre-vetted to ensure they have a spell checker add-on (preferably a British English version), before being allowed to post?

What I hate most of all is knowning that nobody, apart from each respective poster, will take any notice of any of these, entirely reasonable gripes, and life here will cary on as it always has.
Perhaps you should be forced to read this list when you join so that you know what irritates other members. It might, just might, make them think twice before pressing submit. Pommygranite said:
Yes, word for word and to emphasis what I said it literally makes no sense.
Maybe you like expensive watches.I don't.
No offence to watch lovers (really), but I see no point to a £5k watch at all. In fact I find most of them gaudy and ostentatious. And frankly that is being generous, but all IMO.
But each to their own. I reiterate; Really; to each their own.
PH is ostensibly about cars/motoring generally. (Not watches, shoes, houses; add anything to this list that will cause offence and be offended if you so choose)
There really is a connection here.
I know quite a few people with car collections potentially worth millions that wouldn't spend £50 on a watch (to stay with the theme), or for that matter they will watch a 30 year old TV, because cars mean more to them, and every spare penny is put towards cars (after household bills etc. of course).
I know you have a valid point to make, but I'm not sure I believe any of this:
