Is it just me, or does this phrase make anybody else's skin crawl?

I don't know the origin of it. I'm now hearing it almost every week. I've now even seen it on ph. Please, no more.

I only ever used during my time in the army, referring to go on point, to be the person who walks at the front of the patrol.

Usually being used by some "fashion guru" type when talking about the latest bunch of overpriced tat to con gullible people out of their hard earned wages

You're not on your own wink

From a personal point of view, add "Flavourful" or "Flavoursome" a la Man v Food mad

Well that's very different! No complaints on that usage from my side :-)

not sure why a technique predominatly used by female dancers would make you 'bi-curious' ...

Or, why would you care whether or not a bunch of random strangers thought that you might feel attraction to members of your own sex?

Discuss.

At the end of a post, like it's an order, and way more irksome than 'on point'.

Apologies if that's off point.

Dissecting kittens? I was merely pointing out that I've no interest in ballet but was curious enough to Google a term I once heard.

Other phrases which annoy me

"I'm not saying <X> but......" - You are saying <X>

"Fire over an email" - it's an electronic message not a machine gun

"Reach out to the client" - I'm not going to touch them??

My 14 year old daughter informs me that "on point" is now old hat. "On fleek" (I mentally spell this "en flic" for some reason) is now the thing.

"On trend" makes me a little nauseous.

'In check' is another one that seems to have became the in thing to say. That and 'on point' i agree are irritating to hear.
