I managed to lose 2 pairs of £270 Oakley sunglasses within 12 months of each other, at the same damn pub in exactly the same way! Left them where I had been sat outside as it was summer, left when it has gone dark, remembered them when it was too late...

I've never lost a watch, but I've lost two pairs of RayBans and sat on and crushed my Serengeti drivers, twice.

My first pair of RayBans fell off my face into the Mediterranean, never to be seen again. The second pair fell out of my top pocket while I was looking for parts in a scrap yard. I went back and searched every car I'd been in, but I couldn't find them.

Took a pair of sunglasses off and put them on the passenger seat. Passenger gets in and sits on the glasses, good job they were not expensive

You'll be telling me people can keep good pens for years next. Have had the odd nice stainless steel Parker or Papermate for Xmas. Don't think I've managed to still have them by the beginning of March. Every hire car, courtesy car, pool car or works van I've ever driven has claimed a CD and pair of sunglasses at least. Am sure I've left stuff in a good few Travel Lodges, Premier Inns, Holiday Inns and various guest houses on my travels too.
Going back to pens. I write with whatever I can lay my hands on while out and about. I tend to have a pen at my first clients site which I'll leave there. I pinch one of the second client which I leave with the third and so goes the day.

My last pair of Oakleys I dropped and stepped on.... twice. I seem to trash sunglasses too easily so stick to cheapo pairs now!
