Bad manners on Pistonheads.... Talk to me (Please)

No, not the group......

The last few years I've noticed a definite decline in manners on PH.

A prime example:-

Posts which start (for example)

Kettles...Talk to me.

Electric drills..Recommend me one.

Show me your lawnmower.

What happened to the word please? Has it gone out of fashion?

Unfortunately this behavior is not exclusive to PH.

Facebook selling pages seem to have the best examples. I was unfortunate enough to find myself in A & E this weekend and had some wonderful examples there also!

Thread titles where somebody is requesting information could do with being a little less brusque - something along the lines of -

"I most humbly beseech my fellow PHers, if they would be so willing, to impart to me their experiences of.... (name your subject)".

Much more polite

This. It's fascinating how rude/unpleasant/aggressive/brave some people on here are from the other side of the internet. Personally I never post anything I wouldn't say to someones face and can't see any possible reason for getting all antagonistic and throwing insults around on the internet at total strangers because they have a different opinion to mine (no matter how ridiculous I may consider it). Sadly this attitude is not shared by a considerable number of posters.
