I really don't understand why someone would go onto a forum and pretend to be something/someone else.

OP, if I were you I'd seek mental help. That also goes for anyone else that does that sort of thing. It's not normal behaviour.

The amusing thing is all the rubbish about Panerai watches he seems to spout - the irony is that Panerai are only rebadged Swatch movements anyway so if you want to give a jeweller 200 times the money for a name stamped on a casing then who is the fool - the guy wearing Panerai or the guy wearing Swatch? smile

For me the thrill of ownership of my watch collection and my relatively humble fleet of cars is that I own them.
I have a large watch collection - fking Gshocks and Momentum diving watches worth about 50p  I drive a Avensis at the moment due to impending redundancy but boy - I'm not unhappy with the watches. Sod it biggrin

I don't even own a watch and haven't done for 30 years or so, so that must make me the least foolish of everybody wink

Almost all 'premium' watches are well over the odds anyway. In fact, it's the same for any 'premium' item of anything.

Cost =/= cost to manufacture on anything these days.

The clue is always the use of 'suddenly rich' celebs selling to permamugs who need credit. Google image any consumable and the density of celebrities on the page tells you how the product is. biggrin

There is also the basic fact that if you see poor people all the time and you aren't a charity worker then you're one of them. And that's probably why the fool hates them and hates that they are using the same devices as him to try and pretend they're different.

Just how can you actually 'hate' a whole group of people?!!!

I jizzed Panerai Luminor and it was mostly images of the watch with three 'celebs' wearing them; Bill Clinton, The Rock and Orlando Bloom. Where does this put them on the scale?

The architect of Western debt poverty, a bloke who pretend fights other blokes in women's clothing and a leading Hollywood actress. It's not good but could be a lot worse. For example, the obvious massive red alerts are things like a cardashian, Kanye type, footballer, oompaloompa etc cropping up.
