That's the one I remembered.

I can (sort of) forgive the Uni one as it's a union, they've never got a lot of money and it's for students so could come across as a bit of a spoof. But the rest of them?

And I didn't mean any offence to they guy above, I read it as his company made it rather than his own business or team or he was directly involved. Not that it changes my opinion of it.

Lots of these smack of someone being told video is the big thing in marketing these days so they rush something out just because. Like anything else if it doesn't have a purpose there's no point in doing it. What was the idea of the OP one? Surely a nice lunch for the main guys would have impressed MBNL just as much a lot more, cost less and not embarrassed half their staff?

I was at Lboro Uni for 10 years ish... I do love the place but the muppets in the students union (and those who run for union positions) don't half come out with some nonsense. Thats relatively recent as well as the colours/kit is the new stuff!

Though I must say, the Union are actually "stand alone" in that they aren't managed by the university, its a seperate entity, so maybe the actual Uni can be spared?

Plenty of good smart people there, though perhaps thats why they're all located at the very opposite end of the campus to the SU

Thing is, for £2-3 K they could have had a really nice film produced.
Any decent producer/director would never let the client dictate that he/she create something like that. And I can't believe anyone would sell that idea to a client.

We had a client once suggest their idea, which involved having a teddy bear travelling from site to site or something. Our guy very gently talked them down from that idea and created something much more professional and in keeping.
