We got a great view of it here in Kingston...

Pompey area.
Some heavy rain, lots of thunder and lightning wiped out our satellite reception during the Paxman Factor on C4 tonight (thankfully). Just hearing some distant rumbles from the channel again and very heavy downpours just lasting a few minutes each.
According to lightningmaps, we could get some more overnight if it doesn't blow out over the Channel Isles, who seem to be getting a bit of a pasting at the moment.
ETA: aaaaaand we're off again. Lots of in-cloud lightning with the odd rumble of thunder which sounds a bit away yet. Not really showing on lightningmaps.

Hey Alex. I know Kingston pretty well. My step son attends KGS.
However, I slept right through the storm. Didn't hear a thing.
That's some impressive sleeping ability Blib! Although it wasn't too loud most of the time, it was very bright and there were two massive, massive cracks of thunder around 2:30, I had the balcony door open and nearly jumped out of my skin. However, I slept right through the storm. Didn't hear a thing.

The storm has run out of energy. No more thunder at present. Just heavy rain.
