Some car forums are hard work

Americans on UK based forums, it seems to me that most US forums have a prerequisite to hero worship each other. When they go on UK forums they cant understand why people disagree with them. So start posting about how amazing they are.
I use TDIClub quite a lot and it's shocking how much the Americans either bum each other or come up with some RIDICULOUS theories. There's a thread at the moment about how his car makes more MPG in the night time than the day time and is convinced that it's a genuine thing, nothing to do with driving differently with less traffic, etc......

Haha that's true!
They love their little diesels, but also love going on about WHP like that's some sort of amazing accurate figure. Nothing to do with being calculated the same as flywheel bhp....

It just irks me! How can people even entertain such a ridiculous notion.

I use e30zone.net, although just nip over for a quick peek nowadays since I bought a 5 series. Its a proper banterfest that doesn't take itself too seriously, but the knowledge base and parts sales etc is very good. There's a good mixture of innits and showqueen Alpina owners, with a bit of mudslinging thrown in, but I quite enjoy the forum on the whole.
I advertise through work on 911uk, and when I put something a bit funky on there, its usually followed by some beards posting negative comments usually of a price themed nature, but I never respond.
