Looking for a little guidance here.

American pickup and Americana in general tends to err toward Council on the council-o-meter, but where do the panel stand on a Ford Crown Victoria in full US police livery, including light bar and them cool spotlights in the A pillar, but a "not in service" cover over the roof light bar?

I'm thinking it can only be a bit council, unless bought for a laugh.
American car + modifications = double council

And given that the modifications are aggravated by an attempt at humour, I'd push for council squared.

Went to get the Sunday papers this morning at 8.50am. The local off-licence was open. Legal opening time is 11.00am but nobody cares - this is par for the course in my home town. Presumably it's for those still partying or the local alkys.

Drove round the corner and the only person in sight was a 15-year old on a BMX with no seat, dressed in obligatory grey tracksuit (hood up) and smoking whilst texting. Again par for the course round here.

No sign of any PH "private".
Did you just make up the fact that they have a legal opening time or something? Certainly seems that way.
Northern Ireland. They still believe in the Sky Fairy. Regulations forbid enjoying yourself - it's not that long ago you couldn't buy anything here on "The Lord's Day". No alcohol for sale before 11.00am and indeed when supermakets first started opening on Sundays the booze section was separated and curtained-off. The devil's brew.

(There was a time when the swings in kids' playgrounds were locked up on Sundays. I kid ye not. Sunday was for Bible study and contemplation of your sins.)

Why?
I'm pretty sure that shops in Northern Ireland can't sell alcohol outside the 11am-9pm window.

Surely they sell things other than alcohol?

The major supermarkets don't sell anything until 1.00pm..Small shops can open earlier, although if they sell alcohol, just like anywhere in the UK, they have to have a license for agreed opening hours. I'm pretty sure the earliest this can be is 11.00am although clearly this doesn't stop them doing what they like.

This has gone a bit OT. Sorry for my part - I just thought an offy being open at 8.50am was "council".

Well, in England large shops can only be open for 6 hours a day making most of them 11-5 or 10-4
Small shops have no restrictions.

I suppose so!

I think we were talking about off licences with the bulk of their revenue being alcohol apart from the odd pack of Benson & Hedges and a Twix

Large toys

I don't mean go karts and push bikes

I mean anything that is just stupidly large for no other reason than tricking thick parents into thinking bigger is better

Places like Asda are awful for this, radio control car the size of a Labrador

You'll then see it on the lawn In a few weeks time once the next piece of tat takes its place
